Quotebabyblue I really cant see the new lp finished by October. But if they are going to Ca then maybe it is. But why do 6 other dates and not 15, maybe they will and arent saying. ______________________________________ Well is your opinion based on what you 'think' they have finished on it thus far and what you 'think' they have done? Or what you presume is the c

I actually / honestly think I heard Keith was sort of playing around with the idea of doing a few shows to promote Crosseyed Heart after The Stones tour .. (didn't he mention that in an interview before Zip Code once?) depending .. ? I guess it never came to fruition.

Quotetreaclefingers QuoteHonkeyTonkFlash Quotebbeliko The only thing that actually gives me hope is that this is the first time they record an album on a touring year since when? Undercover? Yep - It can't hurt that they recorded while still warmed up from the road! that's a fair point ____________________________________________ It is a great point. I am very curious to see

IMO Steel Wheels was <ok> .. nothing spectacular. More of a sound track to go with a monster tour (but as I said.. oh what a tour Steel Wheels was!). Voodoo Lounge was wonderful IMO. Warm .. fun ... an album that pleases the party with a classic Let It bleed / Beggars Banquet style with some new additions. Love Is Strong is their best single since Start Me Up IMO. A dark, seductive cl

Here all along I thought 'Babyface' was the executive producer on Bridges to Babylon ( Lol .. kidding.. couldn't resist that one).

Quotegeorgelicks Ian, about 60-70% of the ABB songs were done when they got together to record: The ones I laid on (Mick) were Rough Justice, Infamy, and This Place Is Empty. Mick comes in far more prepared than I do. - Keith Richards, July 2005 Mick came up with the basic song (Let Me Down Slow) but I came up with the chimes (sings descending major chorus melody). But I'd say t

QuoteRocky Dijon They don't like spending a long time in the studio any more. They are more than capable of having substantially completed a new album in the limited time they have spent in the studio since December. The days are long gone when they would spend a month jamming to develop ideas, then spend a few months laying down backing tracks, and then spend a few months mixing and overdub

QuoteDandelionPowderman It was a joke, simply because he was so much more than a "Executive Producer" on B2B. I bet he laughed, too. Or maybe not... ________________________________________ Ahhhh Yes. We read ya on that. Cheers. (was an informative conversation though).

QuoteMaindefender QuoteBashlets I'm wondering how far they are along with this album. Does anyone have any idea if they recorded at all in April? I'm getting a little concerned that they are not going to have it ready by the Fall tour. Hope I'm wrong but aren't they starting to get down to the wire. PErhaps they actually had some of it already done prior to last December?

Quotegotdablouse Quotebeachbreak IMHO Bridges to Babylon was a very good album. Better than ABB, Steel Wheels and Voodoo Lounge. Absolutely and coincidentally, or not, Don Was only acted as the executive producer. To be honest they also got a lot of help from outside musicians and there were some memorable songs. It's too bad they didn't go for that formula again as it worked well and

QuoteKRiffhard Hi Ian! Don't forget that Mick had many demos...almost finished tracks. And remember Ronnie's son words:"I've heard snippets of the album, yes, it's amazing. It's different - I can't say different how, cause I wouldn't want to ruin it - but it's good" Imo this album is already done. ________________________________________

QuoteRocky Dijon One presumes the basic tracks were done by January. Now it's down to mixing and overdubbing for which Mick said late Spring. Plenty of time. ________________________________________________ Well as I understood it they were simply going in to record just a few songs in December and feel things out (but they ended up doing a lot with many blues covers to boot). QuoteRocky Dijon In fairness, STEEL WHEELS was cut when Mick and Keith had both come off the road from their solo tours just a few weeks earlier. The fact that it was a different calendar year is inconsequential. VOODOO LOUNGE was started right after Keith got off the road and Mick had just played Webster Hall and SNL. However, it isn't the same as a band playing together and then cutting tr

*As well disregard B. Fowlers recent blurry, black and white photo of Keith as being taken 'in the studio' recently. Fowler released a color image today that shows Keith with the same clothes, sitting on the floor in the same environment and this time he stated this image was taken in Havana. It was obviously the same location (being in Cuba) as the blurry, black and white image posted

Not sure how accurate or legit this is but supposedly Ronnie's son gave a little insight on the new album and what they got going (like father ...like son eh? ). He says it is 'different' .... as in not the norm for them... (though that isn't exactly telling us much). See it here (IF this article is legit / accurate): Ian
