So happy for you guys and also happy for Keith who had a bad night last show because he wasn't well. That would have been a disappointing end for me personally. I just can't believe the Stones can bring a show forward just like that at a days notice and everyone still turns up show time. Proves how special and resourceful Stones fans are to change travel plans and hotels just like th

QuoteStoneage I'm pretty sure these "reviews" are all written by The West Coast Under Assistant Promo Man. It's promotion, nothing else. I and many others agree with you on some level Stoneage, but it's hard to be harsh on brave men still delivering this show to the World at their ages. If we are honest we see that Mick is moving at a snails pace comparred to a few

Quotebv Quite funny knowing Mick's rather light meal standards. Considering the calories Mick burns up in training and performance, i imagine he has to eat a fair amount, at his age protein would be a priority, so plenty of meat.

I'd like them to do a tour of Arenas, that's where this band deliver best, with the passion they are showing right now and the sound Keith's guitar is making, he'll blow the lid off the roofs of the strongest buildings.

QuoteNikkei Quotebye bye johnny Richards took over on lead vocals for “You Got the Silver” and “Before They Make me Run.” The main upside to that segment was it gave Jagger a chance to catch his breath and he’d come back to the stage refreshed and ready to really motor on to the finish line. Most diplomatic version of "This guy can't sing" ever Actually he sang better than the

I'm not so sure Stoneage , the reviews are fair up to a point, back in 2017 they sounded pretty tired and the music wasn't really rocking. Now with Keith raising his game it's completely different these last half dozen shows. I've just listened to this whole gig and with Mick and Keith moving less we are really getting a strong sound, this is high powered stuff and it's

Quotekeefgotsoul Quotekeefgotsoul Here’s my lucky dip story for the Seattle show tonight... my friend and I went to the will call / lucky dip pickup window as soon as it opened. We were given wristbands, then got an envelope with our tickets inside. First level, side of stage. They were actually better seats than I was expecting. After Keith’s set we decided to explore the stadium to see the sta

Conflicting impressions about Keith's performance again, I have a theory as to why myself and others feel disappointed in Keith while others thought he was great on certain tracks and his two solo numbers. I think one problem is we compare a 76 year old to his former Glory, of a time when Keith was an incredible force of nature. Keith clearly has trouble with those fingers and the extr

Think too much attention is being given to one instance in 57 years of playing together, Keith has always shown love and respect for Charles.

QuoteStonedRambler @keithsman I though last year that Mick was slowing down during the second set but this year he is full of energy during the whole show Compare for example JJF: Jacksonville 2019 To Warsaw 2018 That was hard to watch, Mick really struggling last year , what was interesting was Keith upping his game to compensate. Thanks for the links StonedRambler, but i must say th

QuoteWinning Ugly VXII Quotekeithsman That has to be one of the best set lists in years. It's not the best set list in the last month and a half ...... let alone years. "Beast of Bottle" (as the song has become since the turn of the century). What else of note?? 2 acoustic songs and the usual warhorses. For me personilly i mean, SFM to open with as i love JJF full

QuoteAquamarine Quotekeithsman It's understandable but very noticeable that since Micks heart valves operation he's slowed down a lot, he's just walking and waving mostly, his performance has lost it's punch in a stadium, perhaps next year go back to touring arenas with smaller stages and stay tight and close to the band and perform from the mic stand or something .I'd

Absolutely spot on, 89' 90' so much footage out there to prove it too, those tours had hundreds of dates, Keith got so fluid and practiced, but even by 93' with the Winos he'd lost something though IMHO. QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteSpud QuoteTheflyingDutchman His right hand, that's what Keith is about for 80%, imo. From that point of view he was always the same, from 1963 till date. His left hand became the problem when arthritis hit him. Keith is about touch, timing and dynamics...which on his best days are as good as they ever were . Folks often say "anybody can play wh

From 78' to 99' I'd say he started going backwards about 93' 94' I think he is better last year and this year since the 50th anniversary shows in 2012 so who knows, if he keeps on going and does a solo tour straight after this and makes another solo album we could possibly see Keith get as good as he was in 2006. Anything is possible with Keith. As i have said many

QuoteHairball QuoteMonkeyMan2000 That Matt or Chuck are playing guitar parts with their Keyboards is a hoax though, in my opinion (other than supplementary sounds like the acoustic on Satisfaction) Could have fooled me - at Desert Trip wkd. 2, Chuck clearly played the opening riff to Little T&A on keyboard while Keith sort of acted/posed like he was playing it (he might have struck a sing

QuoteMonkeyMan2000 Not trying to be a jerk, but listen to Monkey Man from Chicago 2. Where he once played ghostly slide licks during the intro he is now taking over the right rhythm for that descending line. Brown Sugar in Spielberg is another example where he plays Keith's notes to get him back on track. Nothing earth shattering and I'm not trying to take away anything from Keith, he i

QuoteMonkeyMan2000 Ronnie does sometimes play Keith's parts. In one of the Monkey Man versions from this tour he played the descending intro notes behind Keith and I remember him doubling Keith's parts during the Brown Sugar intro in 2017 and those are just two examples. That Matt or Chuck are playing guitar parts with their Keyboards is a hoax though, in my opinion (other than supple

A myth is that Ronnie helps Keith with his guitar parts, Ronnie doesn't play a single note of Keiths throughout the tour, what Ronnie does do now is play the right amounts of Ronnie parts. He's interlocking and weaving with Keith, this is what Keith has always wanted from Ronnie, it's nothing new, Ronnie is exactly where he should be on songs like GS and BS etc, if you go back

I've always got the impression Ronnie has been the most replaceable core member of the band, with all due respect and i don't want this to sound like i would prefer another player to Ronnie at this stage, but someone like Waddy Wachtel could replace Ronnie after a weeks rehearsal with the Stones and do a very good job alongside Keith as we have seen with the Winos.

Ronnies doing a great job but no more valuable than Mick , Keith and Charlie, Ronnie is paying us all back for those lost years where he played under the level he should have for many decades, he might feel this is his time to repay the Stones for their loyalty and the fans for their patience.
