Quotegotdablouse They managed to edit this into broadcastable content ?! Anyway cool video, is that a new thing on YT to be able to name sections just after the timing info ? 'Watching the rehearsal; interesting to witness the band at work. Steve Jordan is discreetly in charge, he calls the shots." There probably wouldn't have been any Keith solo albums without him...

Quotethomashanck hi, new to me, surfaced yesterday … Oh my the sheer power at 18 minutes. 999 just put shivers down my spine, and seeing Waddy and Keith is just thrilling, Keith's vocals much stronger than during the tour. Thanks for posting .

RETIRED DOG. You are taking Keith out of context, when he says ''Mick writes lots i write little'' that was frustration, he was going into the studio to make a Stones album and he wants to make it with Mick, he doesn't want them both coming in with their own work, he's offering up his 3 killer riffs and saying to Mick, come on let's make a start right he

After listening to their solo albums i have the same impression but also feel certain that some of the more meaningful material like Gimme Shelter is Keith's, and that the sound of the Stones is Keith's. Thanks for the link GasLightStreet, just listened to that isolated guartar on HTW, amazing, it's just all over it and completely structures the song in its entirety.

QuotePalace Revolution 2000 Was Keith ever better live on guitar than on the second Wino tour? With the Stones he was great in '78 and '81, but those were huge stadium shows. W/ the Winos he was in clubs, theatres. And one could make the point that waddy is an even better partner for him that Ron Wood. Waddy has a good dose of Taylor in him, yet way more rhythmic chops than MT. Alw

QuoteLady Jayne very pleased to see Marianne made it! Me too, that woman is a fighter, after all she's been through it would have been tragic for her to die of this.

QuoteDoxa No worries, keithsman, that's what we are like... But, if someone comes to you, and asks 'hey who wrote wonderful tune the Stones played at One World show', what will you answer him? That "Keith is the genius and the main writer of the era" (something I, for example, agree with)? Was that really asked? - Doxa Yeah you got me there Doxa, good point, no

I would put JJF & Satisfaction towards being Keith's musically, words on paper don't make a song. SFTD ended up being the bands song, i forget the name of the documentary but Keith had plenty of input, Mick started that off as a samba, it went on to be so much more. Another example really of the band making something good incredible.

QuoteTheflyingDutchman Quotekeithsman Someone will comment in a minute that Brown Sugar is all Mick for instance to sway the discussion and try to turn it upside down, but even if you give Brown Sugar to Mick, what would that song have achieved without Keith's amazing intro and riff and general sound , it might have sounded like Testify or something from a Mick solo album. On t

Starting from 1969 Mick started to write more and more of the music, and the songs started to be really joint efforts. From 1985 on Keith seems to be fairly dried up, with Talk is Cheap his last truly great effort. Mathijs Absolutel

QuoteNilsHolgersson Mick produced the Exile and Some Girls bonus discs, SuperHeavy album, GRRR!, Blue & Lonesome, Gotta Get a Grip/England Lost, a child (Deveraux), Living in a Ghost Town, lots of Stones tours, a James Brown biopic, a series called Vinyl, The Burnt Orange Heresy, etc etc, I would say he's still very active in his late 70s I'm sticking specifically to worthwhile or

Is he still able - does he still want - to compose a Stones song ? It seems that nowadays, Keith needs some strong support from his co-partners to motivate him to create something "new".

I think the point they were making was that the lockdowns were understandable because it was feared millions could die, but they remarked that on the data coming i

I think the best way to describe this single is that it hits you straight away, you get it, you hear it, but it's on the surface, the song has no depth and i think that's why it's not one to keep going back to. And that's unusual for a Stones song, they are usually keepers, but as someone already said, not bad for guys the wrong side of 70.

Quotebv Quotekeithsman So now we get the data and facts my instincs initially were right, death ratios similar to influenza flu . Does this information mean we get the lockdowns lifted and also hopefully people won't be too scared to go hospital now for lifesaving treatments. I am so sorry to see such fake info here on IORR !!!!! But I can not delete it, as some people do believe it,

I thought this new single was great last week, got caught up in all the excitement, played it half a dozen times. OK so went back to it today and found it forgettable, it's what you normally get as album filler on a Stones album since the 80s. It hasn't got a good guitar solo , the chorus is cheesy and embarrassing, other than the chorus it's a bit slow, it feels like it
