I think he still has Redlands. I remember hearing a couple of years ago that he wanted to create some sort of buffer to keep the sightseers at a distance.

Pardon me if this has been discussed already, but the most entertaining part of introductions during Houston had to be when Mick gave Charlie that cowboy hat to wear. Charlie stepped out and acknowledged the huge applause he so deserves and very reluctantly wore the hat for all of three seconds. Poor guy looked downright embarassed by it.

My CDs are thrown onto a shelf of a built-in bookcase in a wall of my flat in absolutely no order whatsoever. I have to do a lot of searching when I want to hear a particular tune. My vinyl is another matter. Each record is filed alphabetically by artist, then by date of release, and kept in peach crates procured from a local grocery. They are covered by tarps to discourage my cat when he thought

May not get many replies on this one, but I would like to hear from anyone who has experienced a live Stones concert during the Brian Jones era. I was born too late for that and I personally know of only one who has claimed to have seen the Stones then. What do you remember most about the show?

I have always wondered about how set lists are constructed and who is involved. I would think Keith picks his songs but perhaps he gets some help. Maybe he limits his selection just to keep things simple for the band & crew. I'm thinking Mick has the greater say in what is played (throughout the set) and how it is played with contribution from Charlie, Keith and perhaps Ronnie.

Born in '61, so I remember hearing the Stones on the radio since the late sixties. Became "full time" in 1978 after the show in the New Orleans Superdome. Most attended indoor show then, perhaps ever. The sound sucked and the boys came on hours late, but I was fascinated by the experience. The shows just got better for me on each tour since, and I finally got to see them in London

Houston in a couple of weeks will be #11 for me since 1978. Also saw Taylor twice, saw Woody & Ian McLagan together in a club in New Orleans in the early '90s, and saw Keef in N.O. filming a documentary called "Make It Funky" with Bonnie Raitt and a lot of local artists.

I have always wanted to visit the flat that the boys shared when they first started out. I finally got to do that when I visited London in 2003. Hoping that James Phelge gets his wish for having the place officially recognized.

I won't see them until Houston, but Ronnie and Keith were lighting up every time I saw them last go round. I especially like Keith's comment while firing up just before his tunes during the first Wembly: "I can't read that (no smoking) sign over there!"

I remember reading, in Wyman's book I think, about Keith getting a little too close to a live microphone and getting knocked out by a shock for several minutes. I believe it happened in California back during the mid-sixties.

Checking in high and dry from the French Quarter in New Orleans. Rather disappointed by the cancelled (rumored) show at the N.O. Arena. Would have been great to see the boys within walking distance of my flat. Looking forward, though, to along weekend in Houston in December.

Go for field level. If I can't get the first few rows on the floor, I'll always try field level. Some venues won't allow you to stand on the seats or bring anything in to stand on.

I agree that the first night's set list is a bit lackluster, but then the Stones did ask for help in compiling the list. I wonder how much of that input they actually used.

Does anyone know about Johnny Winter's condition? I saw him just a couple of years ago, and while he played well and sounded good, he had to have assistance getting around.

Don't know about the record deal, but I heard a story about Mick & Jerry "discovering" him one night in Texas. Might be true since she's from there. Just finished listening to some of his stuff also. I can remember the news of his death like it was yesterday and thinking what an incredible loss the world has. First saw him in '82, on a lark, looking for something to d
