Probably not much except he now has the March 11 date at the New Orleans Arena that the Stones were once rumoured to have. And then when I arrive at work today, a friend tells me he heard on the radio that the Stones are rumoured to play the N.O. Jazz Fest which falls on the last weekend of April and first weekend of May. I don't think the Stones do festivals, but there is a hole in the sche

I decided to limit myself to one show stateside (Houston) this time, cost being a factor. Was hoping to be in Europe later this year, but decided to go in March/April instead. If they come back to the states as rumoured, I'll make it two then.

I have one of those spikey-tongue sweatshirts from the Voodoo Lounge tour. I used to have a long sleeve baseball type shirt, white with black sleeves and just the tongue logo on the front. No tacky writing or anything else on it. It disappeared from a laundromat years ago. I would love to get that one back.

At the Houston show last month, a guy in front of me brought his kids that looked to be about 12-14 years old. During BS a video is played over the stage that borders on pornographic for some people. I just about fell out of my chair watching this guy trying to keep his kids eyes on the stage rather than on that video screen!

I remember Wyman adressing this issue in his book, saying that many UK citizens born during and right after the war tend to be smaller in stature and attributing it to food rations, etc.

Just read an article on the MSN music entertainment site about Billy Preston. It paints a pretty dire picture for him dealing with a heart infection. It also mentions that he had a kidney replacement in '02 that has since failed, and he now undergoes thrice weekly dialysis. Hasn't he played on a couple of Clapton tours since then?

nostreetracing.org/forums/printthread.php?t=971 Check out this link. It is hilarious. It helps a bit to be familiar with the New Orleans neighborhoods, but still very funny if you're not.

Anyone remember the Brady Bunch episode when Marcia tries desperately to get Davey Jones to sing at her high school prom? And speaking of made-for-TV musical groups, how about Shirley Jones (who is 71 now) in a new movie where she takes up with a guy less than half her age? It's called Grandma's Boy and comes out Jan. 6 in the U.S.

Mick spoke a bit in Houston. He talked about baseball, football and made reference to the home state of the Bushes. I forget which song followed but it wasn't Neocon!

New Orleans by far is the most overlooked. They were premature in pulling the March 11 date from the arena after the hurricane. Turns out the venue is well on schedule to be up and running by then. Perhaps there is still time to work something into the schedule.

I just had the base of a light bulb get broken off in the socket it was in. I jammed the end of a russet potato in it and unscrewed it the rest of the way. Ate the remaining spud for lunch. Hate to see food get wasted!
