I don't think you should throw away your collection for pennies on ebay. You probably payed close to what your asking for those dvds but it's not the same when someone buys them in one lot. The value of bootleg dvds has dipped the last 10 years and all those dvd's are available as free download on this forum.

QuoteKevinrm15 Just in from a reliable source...Paris 76 is happening this year. Nice! One of my favorite shows finally in pristine quality, The bootleg really doesn't do they show any justice. Keith was really on fire (6th June?) after the tragic death of his son.

Heard something a while ago about a BBC broadcast of Wembley 1973 concert? Maybe that's still in the vaults. I say they should release more latter-day era shows, Club shows 2002-2003 would be fantastic.

I haven't watched Havanna Moon yet for two reasons, first I heard Out Of Control and Keith's playing made me feel bad, then I listened to Jumping Jack Flash and noticed how immensely slow it was. I will just try to forget this release. I'm sure the other 2016 shows were better so it was probably just a bad decision to release this at all.

Mean Disposition is ok but somewhat of a lame try to revive what they did in the 60's. Blinded By Rainbows and Suck on the Jugular are pedestrian but all the other songs on VL are truly great. Easily among their 10 best albums.

Adele 100%, also almost anything new on the radio. Niravana is horrible and simplistic without finesse. Any new pop song with a 4/4 bass drum beat makes me ready to puke.

Nah probably not, I guess this bootleg comes from insiders who taped the original high quality source on a poor quality vhs and then sold it to botleggers, same with the Veterans Stadium pro-shot from 2002 which has no sound. These concerts were taped over quickly on vhs and then lost forever in the vault.

Skip the official Brussels Affair. Get the ''Definitive Edition'' by Rattlesnake records instead, it has warmer sound and a better show, also the second disc includes some very nice soundboards from Wembley and Newcaste among other places. Never heard a great 1972 soundboard they all sound like crap.

Mr. D is such a lackluster opener and makes me wanna turn the thing off, but then 100 years comes on which is a fine song. The studio version of Angie is overbearing and tasteless but when you hear it live you know it's a good song. Overall one of their best albums. However by know I'm sick and tired of this album just like many other Stones albums. I would not call it a letdown

While 30 hours is a lot of footage, much of it probably is just a bunch of nothing waiting for things to happen. It's not like it is 30 hours of Stones performing or being interviewed. Even though I wish it was. They really should start the next volume of ''From the valut'', let's release the videos from Paris and Knebworth 1976, something from 1999, and some clu

Keith's isn't doing anything against the rules here. He's playing a major pentatonic over a major chord progression. Listening to the whole solo it's for me very evident that Keith is planing his choice of notes moments before he plays, not at all a case of having to rest his fingers. Some might think it's a dissonant interval to rest on, but I think it's sounds c

QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteRaiseTheKnife QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteRaiseTheKnife QuoteDandelionPowderman I reckon you mean the 1988 Winos-shows? I think something happened after 1990. It might have been the arthrithis kicking in. Anyways, he changed his lead guitar-style. It was very noticable on the B2B-tour that he focused on fewer notes and repeating stuff, instead of exploring new things

Quotedcba QuoteRaiseTheKnife sloppy and messy solos he played on that song in '89 and '90 Really? I think that solo was the best part of the SW shows. Keef wasn't "on" every night, but when he was he was brilliant. I haven't listened through every bootleg from those years and there might be some hidden treasures, please recommend some! The ones I remember of

The most technically challenging Keith-lick I've stumbled upon is his trademark CB-lick on SFTD from St. Louis 1997, cause it's faster than other times he's playing that lick. It's a challenging lick since it's only 1 note per string and it has ''inside the string picking''. Way harder for me to play than spanish RAAHP or old SFTD solo. Paul Gilbert ta

Ive never heard Keith play that fast again, before or after. To think that the Stones should go out with dignity does not disqualify one as a ''true Stones fan''. Quite the opposite really, anyone who respect their music will never want to see them embarrass themselves on stage. And let's be honest, anyone with slightest knowledge about the Stones or music in general for that matter knows that their shows have been all downhill

This is nothing to be feel sad about. I don't want to see an eighty year old Mick Jagger with a weak voice and feel like ''he used to be so good''. It's better to let everything has it's time. There's still plenty of relevant material in the vaults. They're still sounding decent but I would rather see them retire than see them become an exhibition act

Quotelem motlow QuoteMathijs But in all honesty, it was Taylor himself who blew it. It just wasn't any good what he played. It was unrehearsed, uninspired, sloppy. So they quickly moved him to Midnight Rambler only, which is a blues jam in B, where not much can go wrong. But even there Taylor managed to step on Jagger's and Richards'toes, by overplaying and being too present. It

JJF is on youtube: video: Mick is clearly saving his voice, either he hasn't fully recovered or else this might be permanent. IMO, JJF doesn't sound right sung this way, and I would be very disappointed if I payed to see this.

Quote2120Joe Going Down with John Mayer in NJ was awesome. Loved the three guitars all performing very different solos while the others maintained a train going down the tracks roar rhythm. True, Mayer farted out his cliche SRV licks, Ronnie did well and impressed me, and Keith managed to stay in key and all.

Quotepowerage78 Will be the best show ever. Yes indeed, Mick's voice will be as good as in 2003! Also there's no doubt in my mind there will be lots of extra rarities played tonight to make up for the cancelled show.

It was also Mick Taylor's last european gig with the Stones. And more importantly it was Bobby Keys last gig with the Stones ever!
