Went to 3 shows: 1. Stockholm (Overall great show, even though JJF was a mess) 2. Munich (Enjoyable show) 3. Hamburg (Good setlist but Keith wasn't ready for stage yet)

QuoteTheBlockbuster Chuck chose the wrong octave on his keyboard for the intro. OMG they haven't nailed LSTNT even ONCE since 1998. Back when it used to swing: Nowadays it moves with lead-filled shoes... Seems like the rest of the show was great show though. Looking forward to Paris #2.

QuoteMileHigh Not to pour salt on a wound, but listen to this cover of Gimme Shelter: OMG if the Stones could have played it like this consistently 30+ years ago it would have truly been awesome. Some songs truly call for an "E Street Band" level of technical excellence to really take them over the top and sadly there are only flashes of the Stones version of that nowadays.

Don't be silly they were better in 2005, yes the ABB-tour was flawed and the band ran on cruise control but it's all about the tempos... It was exciting to hear a fast raunchy Jumping Jack Flash back in 2005, so different from now.

Yes Mick sounds really good right now, maybe not like in '03 but still very impressing, I remember his voice was very nasal and inconsistent a couple of years ago, the Tokyo 2014 shows showcases some of the worst singing I've heard from him.

Keith still playing out of tune on SFTD. I really thought he would improve but I'm starting to lose hope. The rest of the band is still great so it's not all that bad.

What bothers me is not Keef it's the slow tempos. Playing this slow takes out ALL energy from the songs, even last years the tempos were faster how are they reasoning? Especially IORR is practically unlistenable played this slow when the groove is missing. I guess in the end Keith is in charge of the tempos since he plays the intros regardless of what is printed in Chuck's papers. And i

QuoteDandelionPowderman Not only are you sure, you have seen it It's a good solo no doubt, just wish he could play like that the whole show. Still can't get into that dreadful slow tempo though.

Keith was never perfect, he did some horrible solos on SFTD already in 1989. He played out of key on Satisfaction several shows in 1998. Nowadays he seems to hit shattering bum notes every show. I just listened to SFTD from the 2012 pay-per-view and his solo was good, he seemed to have much more control over his playing just 5 years ago. I'm sure he could play just as good now if he put in s

QuoteEleanor Rigby QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteRaiseTheKnife I think Ronnie should play the solo on SFTD, I imagine it would be great. It's such a lackluster opener for a concert when it's starts with a weak solo. It doesn't start with a weak solo. Good call although can ronnie do it? He would lift the whole song if he took the solo. Ever since 1989 he's never had a cha

None of them, give me some rare Stones songs instead. This might be their last tour and I don't need no covers, especially when Mick is rushing through the lyrics like on ''Hate To See You Go'' last night. Give me ''Heartbreaker'' and ''Stray Cat Blues'' anyday over some dusted blues tracks.

QuoteDandelionPowderman I don't know this, but I have my ideas. If you don't hear well, you won't play or sing well. I don't know how much he plays between tours, but I doubt he sits down daily with a ''practice schedule'' between tours nowadays. Bad hearing can be a factor, but if you know the key and the scale on the fretboard you should still be ab

I think Keith just should play more between tours... Just 1 hour a day or even 20 minutes and he could run through some scales and he wouldn't have to play out of tune when the tours starts. I still think he's able to play the songs without mistakes if he would just prepare a bit more.

I'm just happy we have something to discuss now with the Stones touring and giving us new shows to analyze. What would we be talking about otherwise, whether Dirty Work is underrated or not? The days of following this band are limited and soon over. If you don't enjoy them anymore you can criticize them and point out mistakes, but don't be so harsh on them and act like they didn

Yes they are old but they're still good. Actually Charlie's drumming seem to have improved since last year, many songs still sound great. But being over 70 is no excuse for playing out of tune, it's just lack off effort. 72 year old Eric Clapton played MSG just last week and he's still great, doesn't hit bum notes, and can still play with fine technique.

QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteDEmerson Here's a thought - getting back to the upcoming tour. Have they ever opened w. Street Fighting Man? Might be a good choice, and something different than SMU/JJF. 'Cause summer's here and the time is right... 2002. Yes in 2002 and 2003. It was a powerful opening back then, it would still be decent now.

Comparing any 2012 show with Circus Krone 2003 is just ridiculous. It's like comparing Shine A Light with Brussels Affair. It doesn't even sound like the same band. Everyone except Ronnie has deteriorated an awful lot since 2003. And there's nothing strange with that, age happens to everyone. But please do not say Keith is playing better now than in 2003, he can't even play th

QuoteTheGreek Another one that is widely available for free What does it matter? Some don't like to download and then burn boring a DVD-R. Some both like pressed dvds and downloads. If I found this dvd at a record fair or something I would probably pay 15 euros for it or something but I don't bother with Ebay anymore.
