I think it just depends on how much you can spend. A new turntable from Technics should be decent in any respect, but the SL-1200 are great.

My brother had a tape deck like yours, Dandy. It would only play TDK tapes for some reason. At first I didn't believe him when he told me, and I sneaked into his room to play my less expensive tape. It ate it. Crazy.

Although I don't really agree with it, one of my favorite lyrics has always been ... "The sunshine bores the daylights out of me."

QuoteGasLightStreet Of all the times they choose not to follow The Beatles, they skimp on studio recordings with anthologocial releases. Good one!

Again, except Portugal, which is EU and on GMT.

Isn’t Portugal on GMT? And OK, then Abkco could release the 1969 live stuff if they hadn’t preserved the copyright, because they would have been public domain, ostensibly.

But Bob Dylan is American and he does it. Also, it seems from that Abkco response that they would love to put the stuff out but the Stones won’t agree to it. I wonder, if they hadn’t done a dump last year, could the Stones themselves put it out since it would be out of copyright? And could Abkco put it out for the same reason? That way the Stones don’t share the money with Abkco and Abkco do

I had been thinking of going to Picadilly Circus to watch it, but honestly I’m OK with it being called off. It’s COLD out there! Now we’ll see if I can stay awake long enough to watch it online.

Mary Ann for me, no question. My favorite show as a kid. I always wanted one of those coconut cream pies. RIP Dawn.

Quotematxil I am glad to see I am not the only one who doesn't listen to entire albums as much as I used to do. Interesting. I tend to only listen to full albums. Not sure why, exactly, but I like to listen to it as the musicians/artists intended it (or at least how it was released).

QuoteRisingStone QuoteChrisL Oh yeah, I saw Madonna at the Palladium and the Music for the Marsden, too. In February-March I saw some great shows. Which date of Madonna show did you attend? Was it a full show? I went February 16, the last night of her Palladium residency and the day before the Ginger Baker Tribute. A few “cheap” tickets were released at the last minute close to the show day a

Incredibly, I saw some fantastic shows in 2020 ... The Who club show (three of the four), the Clapton-led tribute to Ginger Baker and the Mick Fleetwood and friends tribute to Peter Green.

Has Chicago been mentioned yet? The first few albums are fantastic, and they were Stones fans. They shout out a few Stones songs in Feeling Stronger Every Day, if I remember correctly.

Quotegeorgemcdonnell314 QuoteChrisL Quotegeorgemcdonnell314 I still have an 8 track player that works. I only have two tapes to play in it but it still works. So does my cassette player and my turntable I have had since 1981. CD's are not obsolete yet. The neighbors behind hang their old CD's around their garden to deter animals. I wonder if my old 8-track player works. I
