I did wonder. I think sadly Buddy may be on the wrong side of the line now when it comes to performing and may go the way of Chuck Berry. Would imagine they would announce soon anyway.

Angry and Tell Me Straight - I think at every show Whole Wide World, Bite My Head Off and Sweet Sounds of Heaven - heavy rotation Outside chance at some shows: Mess it up (because it's the other single and radio play) and I am hoping Get Close gets a look in - think it's a cool riff for Keith and audiences who don't even know the song could quickly pick it up for a sing a lon

The ticket prices and availability are updating constantly - and have done even more so in the last week than the last few months. I have been tracking a couple of shows nearly every day, they released blocks/rows of tickets at different points since general sale - a couple of indicators that I think things are moving in the right direction for people wanting standard price tickets: 1) The

Do we sense if there is any chance the stones will take both Sasha and Chanel on tour - both back-up and then one person sings Gimme Shelter and the other sings Sweet Sounds of Heaven? I thought in Milan when the stones had 3 backing singers is sounded really good so would def welcome multiple vocals

I meant Chanel's own instagram post had been deleted - not anything to do with IORR posts I'm not going to read too much into the jambase article leaving out Bernard.

The post about Chanel joining them next year is now deleted... would imagine there may be some lessons being learnt about what to share and when! In some ways it's not surprising. Chanel probably sang GS better on her one shot in Milan than Sasha has done before or since, and has clearly ingraciated herself with Ronnie and Sally. However, I think on some songs on the HD live from NYC her voc

OK, this song has definitely grown on me. On first listen to the album my gut reaction was this was the weakest song... but I like it a lot more. I think the only thing that really bugs me is in the intro - I know, I know, classic Keith... however, it is just too similar to Tumbling Dice. I wish they had entered the song a different way so it is a little more unique. It suffers the same problem

If Damon is lucky enough to still be singing and performing when HE is 80, I am sure his thinking may mature...

Topi's joke ^^ deserves more acknowledgement Meanwhile, in England, I am just working out what I am going to eat for tea when the AARP NY goes live. Meat that has been hung up for a week I think. Good luck everybody.

Yeah, just heard the remix. Everything I love about the song is gone. Tempo feels slower, its more minor, Miss you kind of bass/beat, micks falsetto "i tell no lies" removed too. Stick with the original! (Which I love)

I am afraid this also gets my vote as weakest song of the album. Not bad, its no sweet neo con, its just middling.

2nd favourite song of the album (after Get Close) Charlie leaving us with a funky gift. Still can't stop singing "really wanna tell the truth" over it Provides a great contrast to the more classic sounds of the rest of the album. Silver Medal.

My favourite of the album. I think, as someone else stated, in a years time when thr dust has settled and the excitement about gaga has diminished a little we will return to this track as the true diamond of the album.

The fact they attempted this deserves praise! They didn't need to play any new songs this early... especially without the full touring band to fill out the sound. I think when Chuck and Bernard and the brass are back these will sound even better and more full. But this is the stones, raw, at times like they are about to fall off the track, but amazing. Angry will benefit from Bernard supp

I think Angry is superior. Ghost Town is 7/10, slightly forced generic singalong of woah oh woah oh... but live it works nicely. Angry is 8/10. It grows on me everyday, I can't get it out of my head. The only thing is I would have preferred a tiny bit more structure after the guitar solo, perhaps one last chorus or something. Just to give some context to those scores, I would say:

Love Get Close Catchy, great sax, strong start to the album with Angry. DOY - OK- maybe it will grow on me.

Interesting interview with Rob here. He doesn't really leave Mick in a glowing light regarding how easy he is to work with. Rob suggests he has to "trick" Mick by panning Keith's guitar to the other side so Mick thinks it is Ronnie playing and therefore doesn't complain. I can only imagine Robert Bull doesn't want another tour with the stones...can't imagi

Hi all, Just thought I would share an observation... When you listen to a live version of paint it black, Mick often elongates the song by singing the "I wanna see it painted, painted black, as black as night, as black as coal, I wanna see the sun, blotted out from the sky, I wanna see it painted, painted black, yeah...." at half the pace of the original record... often this resul

Obviously won't happen but Madonna had to postpone all her shows she had lined up! Wouldn't it be so great if the Stones could just take her tour schedule(!) Not an actual suggestion just a fun thought.

Amazing. Keith looking and sounding good - please stay that way for 2024. Also - worth comparing this to the last time Keith and Willie sang this song together nearly 20 years ago... yes Willie is sitting down now and maybe the guitar solo wasn't as crisp this time round but overall, for both of them to be able to perform the song to a similar standard at approx 80/90 years of age compare

Had the pleasure of meeting Daniel at Matt Lee's in London in 2018. As others have said, a true gentleman, knowledgable, welcoming, and clearly so creative. I enjoyed seeing Daniel's photography on facebook. Shine a light.

Such a shame. I hope in 2024 the appetite and ability from all concerned is still present for a tour. One can only hope that the unreleased album will provide a real incentive to keep sharp (exercise, mentally, playing) and in the meantime everyone stays fit and healthy. A lot can change in a year for anyone, even more so at 80+, and I hope the boys get at least one more outing. Sudde

BV - when you say "spring" for Sao Paulo, Sydney etc. do you mean their Spring (i.e. September this year) or "our" (the Northern hemisphere) spring (i.e. March next year). Could we be talking about two different legs this year... June-July in North America then.. September in Brasil etc... That would explain the August "gap".. GB
