According to my TV listing, the Brian Jones segment of this show is due to air on Sunday, September 13th. Of course we know it's going to focus on the rumors surrounding his death, but hopefully they will do a little segment on his musical contribution to the band.

Hi Guys! Does anyone on here have information about the Their Satanic Majesties Request album cover? Who's idea was it to do the 3D/lenticular cover? Was a Michael Cooper idea or the Stones? Are there any magazine articles about the album cover anyone can share? I am trying to find out how the album cover was conceived and the history behind it. If you have anything I would love to hear i

Hey, guys! I'm looking for some help and I know there are a lot of knowledgeable fans on here. In the 1960s, Ian Stewart would write articles for some magazines about his time with the Rolling Stones. Does anyone on here know the cover dates for some of these magazines? I think some were teenybopper magazines like 'Teen Beat' and '16', etc, etc. He would write abou

Actually this had nothing to do with the SACD's in 2002. I got it confused with another CD. My mistake.

Can anyone tell me whether the promo 'Desert Island Survival Kit' is both CD and SACD? I believe it has both layers, but can anyone confirm that? The CD doesn't say anything on it. I would assume it does since it was to promote the SACD collection in 2002.

QuoteRockman Original title for album was Automatic Changer ….. I read that. I'm referring to where they got the title of the song/album 'Let It Bleed' from.

Has anyone on here read an interview with a member of the Stones where they said the title 'Let It Bleed' was influenced by? I am trying to get to the bottom of some of these rumors about how the Stones were always taking ideas from the Beatles and the song title 'Let It Bleed' being one of them. I have heard the following stories: 1) The term 'let it bleed' is

Hey, guys! I need some help. Can anyone on here give me dates of magazines in which Brian Jones talks about the instruments he played on Rolling Stones songs in the 1960's? I have a few where he mentions the sitar, and I have another where he mentions a dulcimer. I'm looking for anything I can where he talks about the instruments he played even if it's guitar and harmonica. I

Unfortunately ABKCO is not letting me know any details about the 50th anniversary projects for Beggars Banquet or The Circus. So I couldn't really find out much other than there will be a Blu-ray and 4-k release of the movies.

Hey Stones fans. I will try and find out more about these releases very soon the next time I go to ABKCO. I lent them original magazine articles on these three releases for their 50th anniversary projects, so the next time I go up to their office I will see what I can find out, and if they will give me the okay to post the details of these releases. I remember the interview Rich Eisen did with Mick Jagger. Mick said he followed the New York Jets a bit when he lived in New York. He also said he remembered when the Steelers had Terry Bradshaw and Lynn Swann. I was pretty impressed.

Quotedmay If I remember right, isn't this the Hollywood Palace show where the late Dean Martin was the show's host and mocked the Stones before they came on? You are correct.

Hey Guys! I'm wondering if you guys can help me find original magazine articles from 1968 - 1969 regarding anything pertaining to Beggars Banquet (recording, album cover ban, pie fight for the release, etc, etc), or anything on the Rock And Roll Circus. If you can supply me with the names of the magazines (Melody Maker, NME, etc) and cover dates it would be great. I just want originals fr

Personally I'm disappointed in this, but this is what ABKCO has chosen to put out for the 50th Anniversary of "Satisfaction", released this July. It's a Numbered Limited-Edition of Satisfaction backed with the U.S. and U.K. flip sides, The Under Assistant West Coast Promotion Man and the Spider And The Fly, in a replica of the American 45 picture sleeve on 12-inch vinyl.
