QuoteMJ78 Quotewellalright not lisa. did she get benched? doing blow under the stage with onlystones and some hookers? OS is in Florida following along on RS.com. But if Lisa wants to meet me in ATL, Os always has the best sh-t. If you're not onlystones, then you're obviously he/she/its mother. It appears to be a genetic defect of some sort.

Yep, that's it. Sorry. Funny that the thread title didn't catch my attention. From the little I saw of the program, it appeared to be something I might enjoy watching all of the way through. I guess some people didn't think so.

I happened to catch the tail end of an hour-long BBC history-of-the-Rolling-Stones kinda thing today on the new Decades (TV network) -- wikipedia it if you don't know what I'm talking about. It was on at 11am EDT and will re-air at 5pm, 11pm and 5am. I had never seen this one before (that I recall), but I usually don't make any effort to watch 'Rockumentaries'. If you&

Sometimes, when a guitarist is struggling to find a specific tone, other guitarists refer to it as, "chasing the dragon." There is no known cure.

What has the security screening at the entrance gate been like? Walk-through metal detectors? Wands? Just a check of bags? Long lines? I always worry that somebody will swipe my watch or my phone whenever I have to put everything in those Tupperware tubs. Especially when there's a long line and it's hard to keep track of who's tub belongs to whom. BTW, the ban on GoPros makes

If you know how to solder or know somebody who can do it for you, there is a mod for the Strat that adds a switch to turn on the neck pup irregardless of the position original selector switch. Google it (Strat switch mod, or 7 sounds Strat mod). With the mod, you can have the neck and bridge pickups on at the same time (not possible on a stock Strat that doesn't have S1 switching). That make

QuoteJMARKO Yeah, this will bother me too. Ok. Here's a list of the venues. Bold ones are possibilities in my opinion: LSU Assembly Hall (colors wouldn't work) San Antonio Convention Center Kansas City Arrowhead Stadium(outdoor) Milwaukee County Stadium (outdoor) St. Paul Civic Center Boston Garden (no yellow) Cleveland Municipal Stadium(outdoor) Buffalo Municipal Auditoriu

There is a guy wearing a tee-shirt that has a Z 96.7 logo on the front at about :50 seconds. If anybody can recognize that or can spot some other logo, it might help determine the city. Also, there are spots where you can see a red/orange wall, other spots where you can see red/orange seatbacks and yet another where you can see a flat-topped metal railing. All of those details may help identif

QuoteJumpinJeppeFlash Quote5stringTele You do realize that to raise $2million dollars from only 100 people, everybody has to chip in $20,000 to cover the cost, don't you? You need to have 1,000 people pay $2,000 each, or 400 people pay $5,000 each. And that $2million (if that's enough to bait the Stones) doesn't even cover venue, security, insurance, etc. I'll be in i

Excellent write-up, BV! Thank you so very much! I think IORR should take up a collection to get you a nice digital recording rig. We'd also have provide a little training on how to get it into venues and how to use it. Great first-hand accounts will suffice in the meantime.

The Naturalust is 100% correct: To make this happen, somebody needs to act on this now. Find a couple of candidate "soft" breaks in the tour out in the eastern US and broach the subject with the Stones management. Once the tour is rolling, the band may value their days off more than the opportunity to rake in a couple of million dollars for a paid rehearsal gig. BTW, forget the se

Out of 25 pages in this thread, it has produced a whopping three or maybe four paragraphs of details about the actual gig. I would like to hear more details from those who attended. I can understand that bv has his hands full at the moment. His word is good and we know he will complete an excellent write-up as soon as he gets a chance. But where are the other first-hand accounts? As for the cr

I'm in for USA, preferably East Coast. You people who are saying you're "in for $1000" aren't even willing to 'belly up' for good VIP seats for around $2000 ... how can you expect $1000 would cover the cost of a small intimate venue? I agree that Kickstarter might be the way to go. Pick a central location for the USA and another one for Europe, but I think

^^ +1 on being pleasantly surprised by Joan Jett's killer set. I had never seen her before, either. Unfortunately, The Who are kind of hit-or-miss these days. I thought they were great in Miami. I'm sorry to hear they've had so much drama on this tour (not that this is their first tour with drama -- their 2002 tour had to be any band's definition of a nightmare).

I prefer Macca's VIP packages to the Stones, any day of the week. The top couple of tiers include a soundcheck -- and not the 30-minute half-hearted rehearsal with arguments that you get with The Who, but 45- to 60-minute semi-private mini concerts with deep cuts and fun covers. I paid $1800 a seat for a Stones VIP package on this tour, and aside from a ticket location to die for, all I g

I just paid $3500 for a pair of Diamond VIP tickets, and they're not even telling us where the seats are!!!! You have to pay for the tickets blindly. They could be at the end of the row with little or no view of the stage. Bastards.
