So I’ve listened to Now and Then a couple of times. I love the Beatles, but this song is pretty uninteresting to me. IMO, it falls short of every song on HD.

Quoteartedm sofi stadium is very nice The stadium may be nice, but if you’re on the floor, it is a total NIGHTMARE to get out of that place. Very very poorly designed for exiting large crowds. Hated it!!

QuoteDeanGoodman During the Stones twofer I chanced upon a fast, secret exit using fire escape stairs (real useful if there really is an emergency), but couldn't find it for the Metallica twofer and had to suffer the neverending ramp torture. Hopefully we can work out the magic exit location if the site is confirmed. At least parking can be free. How did you get free parking? I paid a L

Since I bought this album, I have listened to nothing else. At first, I thought it was a very good, very solid album. But as I get to really know the songs, I am able to appreciate them more and more. This is a great album. They pulled it off and, in 2023, they made a truly great album. I love it more and more each day. Bravo, Rolling Stones, bravo!

I went to see this film tonight. There was only one showtime. Including me, there were only 5 people in the theater. As a fan, I found the film interesting because I like seeing footage of my favorite band and interviews with their families, friends and lovers. It isn’t the best Stones-related documentary film I’ve seen; there was a bit too much slow-motion grainy footage. Nonetheless, it held m

Late 90s, early 00s, I was still listening to the radio, but I don’t remember ever hearing about Blink 182. I don’t know them. Listened just now to a few of their songs. Completely uninteresting to me. Unless they drastically improved since then, I can’t fathom why an album of theirs would chart so high. That said, I am surprised HD has charted so well. It deserves it, but I wasn’t expecting it t

I’m listening to HD every day and enjoying it more each time. With each listen, I’m noticing different things that I didn’t notice on the first few listens. There are sometimes songs that when you hear them for the first time, you love them. On HD, that song for me is Rolling Stone Blues. Other songs, you have to get to know first. This album for me is one I have to get to know, and as I do, I a

QuoteProfessorWolf Quotebitusa2012 QuoteProfessorWolf so very good live even better then the studio version and imagine how good it'll be when they add the horns and the rest of the touring band Add the horns. Remove Last Gaga. I can’t imagine she’d tour with them! So Sasha? i'm sure sasha, chanel, or bernard could handle gaga's part pretty well maybe better I can’t

QuoteHalfNanker QuotePaintMonkeyManBlack Sweet Neocon 2 100% lucky they wrote the former or they'd be sued for copyright infringement! Yes, the “I’m going to treat you good” sounds like Sweet Neocon. Which is funny because I love this song, but don’t like Sweet Neocon at all! Go figure.

Thank you MrDDDD for posting the link to Hairball’s artwork. I didn’t know he was an artist, and from looking at his works, he was a very talented artist. I had been hoping to meet him on the next tour as we usually attended the same shows but had not connected on the last tour. I miss his posts very much. He would have had a lot to say about HD, all the interviews, the NYC club show. IORR feels

Quotebitusa2012 QuoteJadedFaded Friday was a crazy busy day for me, so I didn’t buy HD until Saturday. After listening to it twice, I am not disappointed. I like hearing Mick and Keith sing together on Dreamy Skies and I like Live by the Sword. I love every time Mick plays harp. Rolling Stones Blues is a gem. And I really love SSOH. But the record is a bit more pop than rock, which is unfortunate

Such very very sad news. I, like so many others, have missed his posts, and it is so shocking to learn that he has passed. He was still quite young, only 60 I think. I was looking forward to hearing his views of the new album and his thoughts on the upcoming tour. Hairball, we are all going to miss you a lot! Rest in peace.

I’ve never been a fan of Stern. When he first started doing morning radio, there was too much juvenile nonsense, like he’d ask a young woman he was interviewing if she’d take her panties off and sit in his lap. Not being a 14 year old boy, this held no appeal for me. I know he’s a very bright guy, but I couldn’t get into all the juvenile crap he did. Look at the interview of Ronnie Wood: asking a

QuoteWuudy Quotepowerage78 Lady Gaga contribution to this track is essential. It's hard to imagine a live version without her presence, when everyone will remember the studio version. Not to mention her missing stage presence... Frankly, and no offense to anyone, how are they going to perform this without Lady Gaga live? As for Stevie Wonder, I'm already dreading Chuck Leavell'

QuoteJadedFaded I too look forward very much to hearing this song live next year. But, while I enjoy Sasha, I don’t think she can hit such high notes like Gaga did. I don’t think Sasha can hit those high notes that Lady Gaga did. She doesn’t have the range. So I’m not sure how the song will be handled live. But I very much want to hear it played live.

Quotesnorton Melanie does not look happy, was it because Mick walks 2 steps in front of her, He’s walking so fast in his trainers while she’s trying to keep up in her heels on cobblestones! He should have let her hold onto his arm while walking there. He was either terribly excited to get inside or he was worried the strong wind would mess up his hair. Not very gentlemanly.

I think some folks are over-analyzing the lyrics, but that’s how art works. The meaning depends on the beholder.

I had to give this some thought, so I listened to Ghost, then to Angry. I think Ghost is more sophisticated musically, but Angry is a quite good rocker. It boils down to my mood. If I’m in the mood for a good rock and roll song, then it’s Angry. Today I was at the hair salon and I asked my stylist if she’d heard the new Stones single. She hadn’t. So we had Alexa play it. My stylist loved it

Saw Buddy Guy last night at the Shell in San Diego. Opening act was Kingfish. Outstanding. I’ve seen Buddy open for the Stones twice and I’ve seen him in concert 4 times. This was the first time he didn’t walk through the crowd playing his guitar and I was a bit disappointed about that. And yes, he talks a lot and doesn’t finish all the songs, but his playing was better last night than the last t

I like the new single a lot. I expect I’ll like it even more once I can listen to it loud on some good speakers. I enjoyed the billboards on the video. I had to google Ms Sweeney to find out who she is. Mick often wears baseball caps. How is it he never seems to get hat hair? Every time I wear a hat, the indentation of the hat is always visible on my hair after.

It may have been 18 years, but I plan to approach this new album like I have approached every previous Stones album. I buy it right away and take my first listen. There will be one or two songs that I either love or really like at the first listen, and one or two songs that I don’t care for. Then I will listen to the album over and over again for a few weeks. There will be songs that didn’t make
