Years ago I got a series of $2.25 off ticket vouchers in a class action settlement against Ticketmaster. I think it was for the way they charge their extra fees to the base price of the ticket. Something like that might be the punishment Ticketmaster gets for what they are doing now but it will take a long time for something like that to go through the court system.

Quotebv The concert industry are digging their own grave by holding on to the ticket money. People will remember next time they try to sell tickets, which will not be for a long long while. Unfortunately, I disagree. Very few people are going to sacrifice their favorite concert like the Rolling Stones or sporting event because they are taking a principled stand against Ticketmaster. Refund executed for Atlanta a few minutes ago. They were Lucky Dip if anyone wants them maybe check and see if it goes back in the Ticketmaster system. I'm confident I can find a couple more if I'm able to go to a rescheduled show.

QuotePinballWizard23 So are they refunding ATL yet? Really scratching my head on the answer I got from ticketmaster on Friday stating promoter hasn’t approved ATL for refund yet but I can try and sell my tickets if I wish. Thought that response was beyond ridiculous. No. My posts above were referring to Atlanta. Good luck.

QuoteIrix Quotetonyc Is not this tour and all the Cohl tours of the past handled by the same promoter? No, the Tours 2013-2020 were promoted by the Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG) - . I worded my post poorly. I knew it was not Cohl anymore. But, nevertheless, AEG is "one" promoter so my original question should still be valid as to why refunds are not uniform at all shows

QuoteChrisMahavishnu Elton John at Bankwest Stadium, Sydney on the 7th of March. Cool. You currently have the "last" Elton John concert honours like those here saying they were in Miami for the "last" Rolling Stones show.

QuoteNate At least the stones made an announcement and are issuing some refunds. Guns n Roses are still selling tickets for a European tour that was due to start on May 20th in Portugal with no announcements regarding postponement or cancellation. Nate The key phrase being "some" refunds. And I did not need to have the giant postponement announcement posted again up page like I

I saw Justin Hayward of the Moody Blues October 29. A few days later Elton John November 1. Nothing since then. I knew the lockdown was coming so I was getting very interested in seeing a show close by and chose America and it ended up being one day too late March 14 so no show.

After being refused a refund for Atlanta on live chat yesterday, Ticketmaster live chat is now blocking me from talking with anyone with a message about postponed and no refunds until a new date is announced. I don't understand why each show is different since it is the same promoter for all shows?

I just did live chat on Ticketmaster and was told refund is not currently an option for Atlanta.

Quotesteffialicia I just noticed that on TM, Atlanta still says 7/9. Atlanta is showing "postponed" on my account page. No refund option yet. I think I will get the refund when the option appears. It should be no problem finding tickets if I want to go to a rescheduled show.

Through The Years was my favorite. Kenny Rogers was one of my first concerts in the early 90s. He was doing a corporate event at Marriott's Orlando World Center in a convention ballroom. My family was there organizing another event and the sales staff arranged for us to see him from the front row.

If The Who can still keep going in 2021 then no reason our Stones shows can't happen either. Be positive!

I don't necessarily advocate the Rolling Stones should do this but there should be artists wanting to do something on live broadcast TV. So far, only John Legend has decided to do it. Consider all network TV programs will be in reruns very soon because they cannot make new shows. And with everyone hunkered in at home why not volunteer for free massive exposure with your music?

Also happy for a postponement instead of a cancellation. Since I have Lucky Dip for Atlanta, I don't really mind Ticketmaster keeping my money for now. But, I would understand those who spent a lot more wanting a refund option now.

QuoteMisterDDDD To go from having tickets and plans in place for a handful of shows, one less than an hour from my house less than two months away, to the very real possibility that there will be no more shows.. is a bridge I'm not ready to cross yet. Elton John announced he has halted his world tour until May 2, today. My first thought was.. wow, initial plans to resume before the Stone

QuotePaintMonkeyManBlack I still get smiles on my face remembering the 2019 Elton show i saw. Loved it 100% Me too. It was almost exactly 30 years since I first saw him in 1989 in my first concert. This time in Atlanta in 2019 where Elton has a home and always gives his best. I had an aisle seat in the front row upper level side stage on the side of his piano. The young woman next to me w

QuoteRiffKichards How about to change the title of this thread since there is probably a typo error in this title ? I may be wrong but... to write « Corona virus » is inappropriate, it looks like an advertisement for a beer brand . As far as I know, the correct term is in one word « Coronavirus ». Anybody agrees with me ? I don't think there is any confusion about a thread tit

CNN Center is probably the closest place for some sort of meet and greet. A large fast food court, a couple of more upscale restaurants and bars, and a large area of chairs and couches where people can just gather. It is connected to the arena which is just across the street from the stadium.

It is not a surprise to me there is a lot of tickets left. That stadium is really large in a concert configuration considering that behind the stage is where the fewest seats are. A weeknight in late May is not optimal either. And there are lots of other big events in the region within a month of the show. They got a pretty big opener last time with Brad Paisley and surprise guest Joe Walsh.

I heard on the news this morning something I did not factor into all this. It said events may have to be canceled even if there is low risk to those attending if police, fire and rescue resources are in short supply dealing with problems in other areas.

QuoteCJFP I've heard rumors circulating from some gents I know involved with Liam Gallagher that he might tag along for this tour. He opened in 2018 for the Stones and 2019 for the Who. He is likely going to be touring the US this spring/summer so it would make sense. I would be happy for that at my show in Atlanta.

Quotetonyc Quotetonyc I really like the new song from the movie "(I'm Gonna) Love Me Again". I hope it gets added to the setlist later this year. Great song. It won at the Golden Globes and is nominated for the Oscars. Do it Elton. Don't have a "Doom & Gloom" attitude about playing new songs. Elton got the Oscar for this as well. Maybe Bruce is thinking about some "Vote For Change" type shows later this year. If they were thinking about October and just pushing back until January then no need to worry...yet.
