Apologies if this exhibit has been posted already, but here's a cool Twitter thread showing a bunch of famous guitars on display:

Nice boxset. I just wish there was more studio chatter with the various tracks.

QuoteBungo I LOVE Pennti Glan! (specificaaly his work w/ Reed and Cooper) Is he still alive? If he is, give him my best if you ever run into him again. He passed away in 2017, sadly. I miss him! He was the coolest and funniest guy I've ever known. Nice to see other people admire him! He was an amazing drummer.

Quotekeefriff99 Did Buddy ever PRAISE any other drummers, especially anyone outside of jazz? That's the real question. Pentti "Whitey" Glan was a family friend (and my favourite drummer), he played with Lou Reed, Alice Cooper and a shit ton of others, and he once said that Buddy Rich complimented his drumming on one of his Tonight Show appearances.

And again, the Stones follow the Beatles. 22 years ago, Ringo published his paintings in a book entitled "The Beatles' Balls".

Anyone else slightly annoyed by the graphic they show on stage during the song vote portion? They show a video listing off a bunch of songs that they would absolutely never play live such as Turd On The Run, Everything Is Turning To Gold, Highway Child, And Mr. Spector And Mr. Pitney Came Too, etc... Songs that would make their setlist a little more interesting to the non-casual fan. Are they jus

Looking at the list of songs for the vote and they included warhorses (Brown Sugar, Satisfaction, Jumpin' Jack Flash etc..) that are guaranteed to be performed anyway. No rarities whatsoever. And many songs were repeated in the scroll to make the list appear longer.

Quotedcba It's funny (and a bit pathetic) to see how Madonna doesn't want to face reality about her life and her career : she's a has-been, her career is dead since the late 80's but no she wants to believe (and make us believe) she's relevant. Her albums from the 90s and 2000s have each sold in the millions. More recently her albums have ranked #1 on the charts. That doe

Dear friends, It is with great regret that I need to postpone my upcoming June tour. It is no secret that I have been living with mental illness for many decades. There were times when it was unbearable but with doctors and medications I have been able to live a wonderful, healthy and productive life with support from my family, friends and fans who have helped me through this journey. Maybe the first time you met your husband/wife was at a diner while Start Me Up was playing on the radio? Perhaps your first kiss as a teenager was at a party with Brown Sugar on in the background? Is there a Stones song that has a special place in your heart and life? It could be a happy meaning or a sad one...

Woodstock 50 Canceled After Organizers Realize Little League Team Booked Field That Weekend WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. — Organizers behind Woodstock 50 abruptly canceled the festival after discovering the desired location was already booked for a little league baseball game between Mel’s Diner Tigers and Classic Barber’s Reds, officials confirmed. “This is obviously a huge disappointment. QuoteDoxa QuotePalace Revolution 2000 LOL, if you think of it: the quietest one of the bunch, the one who isn't even a Stone anymore, and in his 80's - and STILL they cause controversy. Stones Rule! I sometimes feel that in the long run it has been a blessing for the Stones having this controversial, 'bad boy' image, the guys known for their bad behaviour (had it been true

QuoteStoneage I sometimes wonder if Bill was told to stand a bit away from the others. Not to steal the limelight I mean. Sort of a semi Stu treatment? Maybe Bill is too busy looking at the girls in the audience to interact with Mick and Keith.

QuoteCooltoplady I never understood the word retire when it comes to musicians or creative artists in general. Did Picasso Tesla or Enstien retire? People that say retire never played an instrument I play instruments. What I meant by retire was retire from the road. Elton John is doing that. Paul Simon, too. Bowie did it. Glen Campbell. Linda Ronstadt. Lots more. If Mick can't do it anymore,

In my opinion, the Stones should retire. Mick, your health is more important than a band. If you're not 100% then just walk away. No harm in that. You've already proved what you wanted to prove. I think it's a selfish thing for us to discuss when the new tour will be rescheduled. Some things are more important than our own personal enjoyment. Retire from the road, enjoy your remai

QuoteHomerSimpson I wonder will BV keep this board running after the Stones finally do retire? Will a new generation have a chance to come here and bicker back and forth? If BV shuts this place down there is always the Stones subreddit page. Reddit is very popular.

Quotebv A pre-tour check is quite detailed, and they will discover anything that might be an economical threat to the investors. As each show is worth at least 10 million US dollars, the value of the entire tour i.e. to the investors is $200 million or so. No wonder they want to make sure risk is at a minimum. So the Stones booked their tour and THEN had a medical check up? That doesn't make

I would imagine it's the same feeling no matter who the patient is. Surgeons are professionals and life is a life to them, whether it is a teacher or a waitress or a rock star. I don
