QuoteMeanDispo No truth to this story whatsoever - No such laminate exists. Every ticket is paid for with no exceptions. This c-lister only wishes he had a lifetime pass. That's not strictly true. Each principal band member has a small number of complimentary tickets (you can count them on your digits). In addition there are a small number of passes which are valid for an individual show

Some say never let the truth get in the way of a good story. They are never lifetime, only ever valid for one tour. It’s very normal if you are issued a non photo (without your picture) all access laminate for it to be returned after the gig or the number in issue on just one tour could get out of control (pun intended). In more recent years laminates for non tour staff have been custom for each

QuoteKingbeebuzz Thank you for the link. There's some really interesting stuff here...........BUT anyone thinking of buying needs to read the descriptions very carefully. For example Lot 1050 is described as a poster for a live Stones concert in 1966 at the London Marquee Club.......but the Stones, as far as I know, never played the Marquee in 1966 ? Thanks, Kingbeebuzz, I agree for an

QuoteJfk19562003 Anyone know if this Genesis edition is still being published? Last year, Genesis blamed the delay on Matt’s attending Stones concerts. Since then, nothing. Has publication been cancelled? That’s totally fair enough I got the blame. Sadly I have a regular job too so only so much time to devote to Stones projects. I did the whole tour and that took out a big chunk of my “spare”

Many, many years ago, (technically in the last millennium) there was a London RSD1 cover without a record on eBay. I snapped it up for $50 thinking oh well, I will never be able to afford a whole one, let alone a “proper” Decca one. Literally the next week there was a record without the cover! Another $25 later and I had my first complete promo album! I now have four US ones and four UK ones ;

I am very sad to say that Will passed away unexpectedly. I met Will early on in my collecting journey and was honoured to contribute to the making of his amazing tribute to Stu. He will be very much missed

My gut says it's a bootleg but I could be wrong and I would want to inspect it in person to add more evidence for or against. I first thought it looked like a press ad but it's actually pretty big. The large white boarder was unusual but now I am looking on a laptop it appears that there is a white background making it look larger that it is. For me the two things I am uncomfortable

QuoteVoodooLounge13 QuoteNashvilleBlues QuoteVoodooLounge13 QuoteGJV The regular version now costs just £17.93 on the UK Amazon. Is there a deluxe version? I think it comes with actual Stones memorabilia. Where does one obtain that version? It was announced by Genesis earlier this year. It sold out in 24 hours becoming their fastest ever sell out edition. It was due to come with 5 it

Sorry I am late to the party... (thanks for the nudge Topi) It's super simple, this was never given to Mick Jagger. Most record awards are basically merchandise and many more are completely unofficial fakes. There are some good sources posted above to start learning but this category has as many pitfall (nearly) as autographs. There is no substitute for learning and there is no short cu

QuoteStoneage Congrats, Matt. I only have one question. It might be a bit impertinent so you don't have to answer it if you don't want to. - Do you make a living out of these Stones related activities or do you have a regular job on the side? The truth is when I first moved to London I was on £1,175 take home pay a month with rent and bills that consumed 90% of that. I began autogr

Ian McCausland and John Pasche between them designed my absolute favourite posters. A kiwi 1973 poster is the ultimate 70’s Stones collectible bar none. Much love and respect.

2007 was the first time Ronnie called me and we spent 6 hours together…. My golden years were the five years following. The story of the album is in the forthcoming deluxe edition of Hot Stuff which includes Solo sections for each Stone. It’s a great story… I pitched Ronnie the idea while driving him from his home where I had spent the afternoon into central London. The funniest part was when

I would have defaulted to The Fountain of vinyl knowledge JR on this one… outside of what I would call the memorabilia vinyl pieces, Street Fighting Man, Beast of Burden, Promotional Album etc… Discogs is your best bet. Hit me up for posters, tour memorabilia etc…. That’s where info is much harder to obtain and therefore what I spend my time studying

I’ve been a fan since 1964 and to see that wonderful song performed love for the first time was epic and deeply moving. Matt, I wonder, when and where was the shot of you and Charlie taken? A great pic!! I was so glad I didn’t stop recording… I watch the Madrid Out of Time and Berl

QuoteMore Hot Rocks That pic of Matt from the article. Is he in front of the barrier wall? Wow! Your the man Matt! Sadly trapped behind the barrier like everyone else... does make the shot tough especially with the fans / monitors etc... means I do quite a lot of tight shots to exclude the obstacles from the composition but it makes it harder to keep steady! I am just glad people enjoyed the v

I am not sure where the middle ground is. There is such high fixed costs in a book production and distribution. If they were $100 people would still say it was too expensive and not buy it as a subject matter like this is niche. Books like "postcards from the boys" (cards sent by the Beatles to Ringo) first came out as a limited edition and then made it to mass publication because it
