QuoteTurner68 QuoteMrTurner It's fantastic to hear that they are back in the studio.. It's been a long 10 years since ABB (the album had it's moments but too few IMO) I do hope as I'm sure we all do that they can find some of that creative spark that used to burn so brightly. although i had assumed it was about a woman, perhaps this is what "has anybody seen my baby&quo

QuoteHis Majesty QuoteIrix Direct comparison: Left: Alan Aldridge Illustration 1969 - Right: Tongue&Lips logo, Sticky Fingers 1st US-Edition 1971 I like this... The two designs are very similar. A coincidence maybe? The similarity sugests Joe may have been 'influenced' by the Aldridge design.

QuoteGasLightStreet Yes this image would have worked as a band-shot cover.. No loud colours nor the band strangely posed around a couch. On the other hand maybe it's just a bit boring.

It's a striking image, Mick & Keith look similar.. Bill sees something in Charlies head, Charlie is thoughtful, Ron Wood looks a bit scarily demented and what's with Jagger being naked.

QuoteEddieByword Quotetxussilvestre Thank you EddieByword! Are these "official" but unreleased remixes? That's my understanding, yes...........there's a great book by Martin Elliott called Rolling Stones, Complete recording sessions which gives all the production history of each track and some reviews There have been discussions in the past on the iorr forum about these

Quoteodean73 Hate to rain on the parade, but if you think her records or voice are up there, well what can i say she was a run of the mill singer. An air stewardess friend of mine had the misfortune of ahving to look after her on a flight and she said she was one of the worst celebs she had looked after. she was also a tory/thatcher supporter so i rest my case. I will say RIP thou. She

I was looking through my 69 archives when I touched on this download from 3 years back. Teague Raw did a tremendous job, for 69 audience recordings these files sound fantastic. And his artwork is great too! Anyway if you ain't got it here's another chance ..don't miss it! This filefactory link may still be active Also I was looking for Madison Square Garden 1st sho

I don't know if this has been discussed before but I'm puzzled as to why the extended bitch track, on the SF bonus disc, ends so abrubtly. It cuts out at 05:53 while the band are still in full flow. This is an unusual edit to release officially. Why not fade it out a little earlier or (presuming the full track is available) let it run out a little longer and fade. So ok th

Thank you for your recordings hobnobs. As well as your postings I also listened to and recorded the other parts of the show. Liz Barnes interviews Mick and he talks about each of the tracks on SF as well as some anecdotes about the album's recording and artwork. The SF album is played in it's entirety and also three of the alternate versions towards the end. The interview concentrat

The UK Post-code tour? It was the rule of thumb in the past that a tour was instigated on the back of a new album. A promotional tour for the album - if you like. This policy now seems to have been pretty much abandoned during this new century with the exception of 'A Bigger Bang' in 2005. So they have become a nostalgia act ... but with a large catalogue of 'old' songs to

A very nice mix of rare Mick Taylor performance. The 9 minute long live version of Seperately is terrific! All presented as flacs but the real sound quality indicates from a lossy source.

QuoteBlueranger QuoteMrTurner Yes it's a pity they couldn't find any unreleased songs to put out in the deluxe edition. There are a few we know about such as 'Travellin' Man' "Highway Child' 'Hillside Blues' 'Country Blues' and probably more. Whether they (or more likely Mick) just couldn't be bothered to work on them, or didn't thi

I've always thought this was/is a great album cover. Charlie jumping for joy while a rather bored donkey looks on. It seems that the cover gets mixed reviews and I've seen it occasionaly turn up in worst album covers lists - Philistines! Here it's nr 76.

Done in what we could call a heavy-style would be the much underrated Steel Wheels track 'Hearts For Sale' which follows the dense 'Hold On To Your Hat'. A great coupling.

Really disappointing that 'Travellin Man' or any other unreleased song didn't make the set. It would seem MJ believes he'd scraped the bottom of the barrel for the Exile bonus disc. That said the release of the full Leeds show, hopefully, in stereo as per LIR is great. The Roundhouse and Leeds as a double CD package would have been nice but maybe there were issues with some of
