QuoteROLLINGSTONE Going at a slight tangent; one of the best ever 'off the cuff' live albums you'll ever hear is Slade Alive. Recorded over 2 nights with a raucous audience, great setlist of mainly covers and almost zero overdubs. One of my favourites. Slade Alive was the first album I ever bought. A great album by a great band.

Quotecrholmstrom Queen destroyed everybody that show. Just one of those things. I have told numerous people this over the years post Live Aid ... anyone who had seen Queen perform live before Live Aid knew exactly what was coming. Absolutely fantastic live band with one of the greatest front men ever.

Always love the second 'outtake' version of this with the little lead fill after "... hocked my electric guitar"

28 in total and I do not think I will see them again. I'm really glad the 2018 shows exceeded all my expectations and they finished (for me) on a high note. 1982 Newcastle Wembley x 2 Leeds 1990 Wembley x 2 Manchester 1995 Wembley Brixton 1999 Sheherds Bush Wembley x 2 2003 Twickenham x 2 Wembley Arena x 3 2006 Twickenham x 2 2007 O2 Arena x 2 2012 O2

QuoteDandelionPowderman And what exactly did KEITH do wrong at Live Aid? It was Ronnie who busted three strings, and it was Bob who was lost, if memory serves. Keith looked sober to me. BTW, Mick's performance at Live Aid was very good. His band not so much. Wasn't it Bob that bust a string and Ron, the great side man that he is, gave him his guitar? The fact that they were not

Quotetommycharles This record was arguably their peak as a live band, and the Game songs fit in very well on tour, but as a record itself, it doesn't offer much beyond the tracks you'd find on a greatest hits collection. I saw them on the (much maligned) Hot Space album tour in Leeds in 1982. They were outstanding and to this day my 3 favourite Queen tracks are Somebody to Love, Save

My first Stones show. It was quite a local one for me too as only 60 miles from my home town of Carlisle. I don't remember any rain or seeing J Geils Band but I definitely did not see George Thorogood, in fact I didn't know he supported them in UK. My memory fades but I remember it was good but not as good as Wembley Stadium two days later - that was like watching a different band!

Quoteglimmertwin1 QuoteGasLightStreet Quotewiredallnight QuoteGasLightStreet The live video is from July 11th. Do you have a proof for this? I suppose no... nzentgraf - how many proofs does one need? DVD + 2 CD's 'L.A. Forum (Live In 1975)' (Eagle Vision EAGDV038). DVD filmed live in Los Angeles, July 11 (booklet erroneously says July 12), 1975.

Even a snippet would help or at the very least a tracklist, so we might know what we would be getting in a trade? What are you looking for in a trade?

QuoteChacho I would love to know how much they have made off of that song (after releasing and re-releasing it virtually 100's of times over the course of 55 years. Quite a lot if people are willing to pay £112.05 for a CD single!

QuoteValeswood Loved reading through Deltics Real Rarities piece above. On the strength of that I have managed to source Don't Stop/Miss You (8.35) and She Was Hot/I Think I'm Going Mad on CD which I did not have. Belated thanks Alan. Such a great loss to this board and in the words of Joni Mitchell, "you don't know what you have got 'till it's gone" It

I was a big fan in my pre-teen years and finally got to see them in the early 1980's after their Reading Festival 'comeback'. In fact, I saw them 5 times in 18 months. Believe me, the original line up were a brilliant band live! I wish they would give us one last hurrah like Status Quo did in 2013 and 2014.
