Quotespidey9Bottom line: I spend $800 on two tickets and feel like I got a bargain. By jove! That's the game... They offer the $3000, and the $1500 seats, so when we pay $300 we jump on the "bargain"! Mick's School of Economics education is paying off!

The Pasadena Gold Line metro train does not go to the Rose Bowl. Only city busses are available for public transit. From Downtown LA it's 1 hour to the venue (40min via train + 20 min by bus). Loads of close parking lots.

Picked up 2 GA Field seats, a couple hours after the start of the presale for $172. It was odd how they kept releasing little blocks of seats from 10-2, then nada. Loads of VIP Package nonsense - with $96 and $147 tix marked up to $375 including some merch.

If the past logic holds... They will release some less expensive tix as time goes by, only if demand wanes. Then they will release LDs... but prefer not to. Highest demand is this week, so the highest priced tix will be released this week, Look for more tix dumps as time goes - to keep demand high - but tix moving. LDs are 95% bleacher tix and singles.

Anybody have info on the current state of the building that housed Mac's Munich studio? aka Munich Hilton?

Quoteouroux58 Here the link to the real place. The studio's carpark is now a supermarket, the recording studio itself was where you can see a new building next to the supermarket on the left. Thanks Ourox58! I'll be visiting. I might have to leave a plaque!

They always came up with many ideas on their own... Keith with the cassette recorder... Mick disappearing with a notepad for an hour or two... then combining those ideas through their amazing chemistry. But the chemistry has changed... damn, the chemistry-set has changed, God bless sobriety! They have evolved their musicianship and writing process... the cool stuff you come up with when y

Quotedcba The "old Pathé-Marconi Studios" have turned into a very unsexy supermarket... >< Save your time and head to the recently reopened "Bains Douches". Tres Bien! Merci for the tip. But I still like to stand in that exact space and let my Imagination run away ;-)

I'm going to be in Paris and Munich in Dec and would love to visit the site of the old Pathe-Marconi Studios, or the Munich Hilton basement where such great Stones sessions took place. Anyone know what's there now, and if there are any remnants of those studios remaining?

Just put my copy on today. Wow!!! It's great! It's Groovier than the latest from Keith, Mick or the Stones by far! Still has Bill's cheeky lyrics and understated spoken vocals.. like a groovy Tom Waits.

Loads of bands organize/trade/sell recordings of each show. It's smart and effective to prevent commercial piracy, mastered early on by the Dead community, but also Phish, The Who, Bruce, and U2 have done it. The Stones "Vault" series has been an effective way to add copyright protection to their own unreleased master recordings, which ended up stolen from them at some point, by

I think there are 2 kinds of concert goers. Those who see a band just once and want to relive the fantasy of that show. And those who want another shot of the real live s#it in their veins, as often as possible, even if it's cut with some vegas crack, It's still better than doin' without. And one day we're all gonna have to sober up, so I for one will go to every Roll

Quotetumblingdice Didn't Bill say once that they sometimes signed for each other back then? I may be wrong but think I read that somewhere. Yes I've read that from Bill & maybe even Keith too. It makes sense, they get a stack of 100-200 photos to sign from Andrew, and they each take a handfull and just sign all the names instead of passing the stacks around... "Do you sign t

I really like the moderation of the threads BV. The negativity is already enough, I would not come if there were alot more... it just wouldn't be fun. But I think it's a pretty good balance, lots of praise, honest critique, some cheerleading, and lots of strong opinions expressed articulately (mostly).

Quoterelms One thing is for sure, Keith has been giving Mick PLENTY of time and space to thank the choir before banging in Satisfaction ever since that one night. That shows the level of respect they have for each other. Mick: "Hey Keith... give me a minute to thank the choir next time" KR: "Sure man"

SG is among my fave Stones albums. I love Lies and Respectable... both have such good lyrics. It's a raw and aggressive album with alot of angst and creative jism. Feeling like they recorded it all together live to tape. Interesting that the hit was Miss You, which was pensive and could have fit well on Tattoo. TY has a more pensive sound overall, feeling very overdubbed and more conte

Quotewhitem8 Some Girls by leaps and bounds. Far more dangerous a record. More attitude, and less polished production. The band made a cohesive statement with all NEW material. Ron's finest moment with The Stones. Tattoo You is ok. Too slick for me, and too many throwaway songs. And it collapses from the weight of the 80's production. Start Me Up...never thought it was a great song.

Quotebeachbreak My general feeling is there is "too much going on" musically. It's becoming like a James Brown review. This gives the show a somewhat "ragged" sound. Ronnie and Keith should have different amp types, too much vintage tweed now. Keith should drive the band with more straight up chords and less "noodling", like in 1972 through the Ampeg stack
