Quotebathsheba ...I think one advantage of the style was that he could hide his ears. The height on the crown of his head(during the rooster era) allowed wider layers at the side to cleverly disguise the protruding flaps... Exactly!! Dude knew what he was doing w/ the later ‘dos (btw, "prodruding flaps" cracked me up!) Even Charlie trusted "Keith Scissorhands" p

QuoteNaturalust OK I've learned my lesson, don't get in the way of these rabid Keith fans, man. I've done my part and edited my post with sssoul. And FYI, I've got nothing but love for the man, one of my heros, and age and looks have little to do with it. Glad you ladies are still in love with Grandpa Keith, we'll all get there someday, god willing and the creek don'

^^^ Thanks, Sssoul, for posting those great classic sans chemise shots of KR in Morocco . Sir Cecil was an aesthete par excellence and knew a hottie when he saw one! I can think of no other dude who could rock a jangly ladies necklace like that (and, on topic, the hair looks cool, too). Love this shallow thread!

Quotewith sssoul Aha: That would be Aubrey "Po" Powell & Storm Thorgerson, 1973. Very nice, very nice indeed Sssoul, your link made me think of a great quote by “Po” Powell that I remember reading within the last year – just searched & found it again @ (under slide 3). “…Keith Richards opened the door naked to the waist and rather the worse for wear. He was a bea

QuoteChris Fountain To be honest, a man or woman should be judged by their manners or actions as opposed to their appearance. Sure, sure - but Keith did have incredibly kickass hair, which should be celebrated. He also looked great shirtless, which should also be celebrated...repeatedly... Hubba Hubba! I first saw this shot on the Rocks Off Superblow thread (p 76, posted by Irina). It’s

^^^^ Hey Naturalust, just for the record, my dismay that this "educational thread" has veered off into "satin jacket" territory was in jest. That said, I do deeply abhor the thing and feel compelled to chime in with my thoughts of disgust whenever I see pics of it . It’s a Pavlovian response over which I have no control. Regarding the course, I just started it (after lear

This is a musician whose song features beautiful sax playing by Bobby Keys in what may have been his last recorded performance. He wants to send this song to Keith’s people. Sorry, MrThompsonWooft, I just don’t find this scenario the least bit creepy. In fact, I wish him the best of luck

Quotefuzzbox Its shows Keith not having a clue what he is doing. The audio and footage do not relate. The fact that the sound does not corrrelate to what he is doing is one of the reasons I find it interesting (that, and the fact that he looks quite fetching in it - did I mention that already ? Oh right, I did )

QuoteStoneage ...Not only is he a decent actor and writer; now it turns out he's a great dancer too ... How right you are! Keith has indeed achieved greatness in dance, as has one Mr. Charlie "Bum Jiggler" Watts. In the clip below, he shows off his racy moves and speaks of his choreographic influences - I'm not kidding - this is a must-see!

Wow... that mimed SFM was just WEIRD ! It’s as if Mick was directed to move as unlike Jagger as possible – not a good idea!. On the other hand, I found the Keith Moog footage mesmerizing (and, if I may be so shallow, he looked fantastic in it). Thanks for posting!

QuoteDandelionPowderman QuotePlink ...I've always loved that bit of the film BTW, is there ANY piece of music in existence that would inspire MT to dance?... MR on November 25 2012 helped Well, I suppose his awkward “bendy knee light steppin” on MR 2012 could be considered a form of dancing (if one broadens the definition). He even does a saucy little twirl @ 4:34 - I guess there’s ho

Keith had thick hair even when his mum walked him on a leash as a toddler, and shy people DO dance, and I still see no inconsistencies in terms of facial structure between this kid & Keef (even in the blow-up), and I don’t think the kid looks like Stu in the least but…Okay, okay, all you kill-joy naysayers, maybe it isn’t Keith after all… The real Keith can sure bust a move, though – I’ve

QuoteSilver Dagger It's Brian with a wig. Did you never hearthat story of when Brian and Phil May of The Pretty Things met up with Rudy Nuryev and Judy Garland. Ooh la la! Never heard the Brian, Phil, Rudy & Judy - pretty please, DO TELL!! BTW, Geraldo Rivera once said that Nureyev and Mick had their eye on him for the 3rd in a menage a trois hommes
