You guys are out of control. My original list was an attempt at humor and a departure from hair, width, relative performance value, what we're listening too etc. As with most politics in America (unfortunately) Dems and Repubs are virtually interchangeable. Ask a reasonable person where they stand on the issues and you will most likely get a response that includes the perceived ideals of

all said as a joke anyway....the responses are a little too intense.....let's get back to the normal set list complaints, ticket px arguments, comparison to U2, the hair transplants, the Who commentary about the Stones, comparing ablum tidbits, what we are listening to, when we saw a real Stone, Lisa's girth, Charlie's sticks, web site comparisons, Keith's fingers and balance

He's British? Really? One's political viewpoint or propensities can be either what is commonly thought of in the context of a Repub or a Demo. Thanks for all of your thoughtfulness in pointing out his nation of origin.

I agree totally with you. He is just like a lot of other people though--think one thing, yet vote for appearance sake.

If there's more $$$ to be had in May, the Stones will take it. Please! Open your wallet....surprised they haven't figured out the float game.....ask for it now and get some interest in the interim! Maybe "the Rolling in the Bucks" tour 09' will figure this out. C'mon, this is NOT out of the goodness of their collective hearts.....STOP with that!

SO it has been settled. We ALL love the music, but the shows can become somewhat boring for the concert repeaters like myself when 80% of the show seems like a complete do-over. On to the NEXT very very important topic in the grand scheme of ALL things

I love their music (obviously). I can't wait to get to yet another concert. BUT, I can NO longer get excited by hearing Satisfaction. Enough is enough. Without variety there is boredom. That IS my point.

I promise (in the future)to submit all thread proposals through the great and powerful Reptile so that there is no repetitive nature to any previously started thread on a like topic---actually I guess we should go back to the ALL-TIME 1st one if these are the new rules of engagement

C'mon now---let's be honest, if you went to that show with the hope that a small venue would would shake things up even a little you would have been intensely disappointed. Yawn!

I think you are all missing my point which is to say that although we are dealing with a body of work which is incomparable and defines them as the greatest ever, they have lost their "edginess" vs a band like U2 which is still in a sweet spot creatively and in terms of their impact on the music world today. There is nothing nostalgic about U2 whereas nostalgia pervades the Stones (som

I don't make this point because I am a U2 fan, rather from the perspective of current relevance, influence and an overall body of work that is reaching Stones-like proportions. It's okay for citizens of Stones Nation to admit this....

When you get to this "level" in the pecking order, isn't it also time to experiment, expand and grow? Playing down to the level of your audience should be beneath their greatness

1. Stones should give CD away at the door for the prices they are charging.. 2. Most concert goers clearly only going for the "event" which is why the setlists are so pathetic.. 3. once again, the real fan (quite possibly an IORRian) gets shafted because we buy the CD, but have to listen to Satisfaction again....
