I agree with you nonfilter about Keiths slide-work on Let It Bleed album and wonder how he got that tone and echo effect on his guitars. Also what kind of guitars he used. This sound is kinda unique to the Stones recorded music

The Hall of Fame is completely meaningless.Mott The Hoople was a totally honest example of quality Rock n Roll. If they have cult-band status that's ok with me

I saw them last night at the Chicago Theatre. It was pretty cool hearing those tunes played live.Probably very close to the setlist they had in 1974.Three original guys and five additional musicians.Aerial Bender and Morgan Fisher were in fine form both of them kinda hamming it up onstage.Very entertaining lads.Ian Hunter broke out the old Iron Cross guitar for Walkin With A Mountain which was ja

I think the blues will survive at least in Chicago. There is still a healthy interest in blues here. It continues to evolve. Memphis too. The history of blues is an interesting story to tell. Blues is the cornerstone of this music we dig. It goes on......

The show featured mostly musicians who have played with Darryl and Brian Messiah-the beneficiary of the benefit show- over the years in Chicago.Mr. Jones was the perfect host.A nice variety of music.Blues fusion type jazz funk rock and everyone played well. Darryl auctioned off a couple guitars signed by tne Stones as well as Stones tickets posters and tee shirts.Darryl mentioned that he had been
