Quote24FPS Brian Jones recruited them, not vice versa. In reality he recruited Jagger only. Absolutely! It's a shameful and demeaning mistake to have in an "Official" plaque. I hope that when Brian's children read about this they will protest and get it changed.

QuoteDandelionPowderman I'm not sure if they sold that many tickets. If this refers to ticket demand at O2 (and the multiply nested quotes make it hard for me to tell) then it's wrong. The demand for tickets for the O2 events was unbelievably vast and gigantic. That's irrespective of the involvement of Messrs Wyman and Taylor.

I've just got back from checking the mobile phone coverage at the paddock where the Hanging Rock concert will take place. We drove round the outside - it was too locked up to warrant a trespass. We got fine coverage with Telstra. I got NO coverage with Optus, except at the South East corner on Straw's Lane, where I got a small (2 bars out of 5) signal. I know that folk who tra

No list of funny comments could possible exist without this one from Charlie.. By chance I recently discovered that although the original interview was done with UK journalist David Hepworth (and was probably broadcast on OGWT, and you can hear Hepworth asking the questions, if you watch the same interview on the released version of '25x5 : The continuing adventures of The Rolling Sto

Quotewinos My letter to The Age in Melbourne published today 15/12: The Stones may well have sold out in more ways than one this week: the price ......Snip..... Lightly edited in the copy of The Age that I picked up, but well done for getting it published. But there was a more intriguing letter buried deep in The Green Guide. The context is that in Sunday's 60Minutes feature Mick t

Quotestrat72 QuotegeorgeV Perth is probably the nicest city in Australia, IMHO, I lived in Perth for three months a few years back, it has to be one of the dullest cities I have ever been to.... I lived in Perth for 11 years, and it is indeed one of the dullest cities on earth. As others have written, it's an immense distance from the other main population centres in Australia - both

QuoteWuudy Haha, I love your comment Deathgod, "cold for Aussies" I'm Dutch but living in Sydney for three years and I still find it hilarious that every "winter" the people here are complaining about the harsh weather when it's only 18 degrees and sunny. It's totally possible that during the day on March 30th at Hanging Rock the temperature could reach 30C.

Quotebv Melbourne is great, but bring an umbrella. It might start raining in half a minute. But most of the time it is great. Even with free public transportation in the city, it took a while before I figured out that one. Weather: Yes, Melbourne is (in)famous for its "Four Seasons In One Day" climate. The way to deal with that is layers of clothes. It's a fact of life here.

Quoteterraplane $1,200 for tongue pit. But various prices Can someone explain to me how tickets could have been obtained for (eg) Melbourne and put on sale before the Pre-sale at 4:00 local?

QuoteWuudy I was in at 4pm and could not get a tongue pit general admission seat... 4:15 and starting over I've not been able to score a single ticket at any price. So, either the proportion in the pre-sale was very small, or the site has failed to properly allocate tickets. Having read about the experiences in NZ this morning I have hope that it's the latter. I'm going to

By 4:03 I was unable to select even one single cheapest seat for Rod Laver, so on a whim tried one of the PC1 seats. None available. Most improbable in my view that 100% of a non-trivial number of top dollar tickets were sold (legitimately) in less than 3 minutes.

Quotewinos It looks like all the pre-sale allocated tickets are gone for Hanging Rock show as I've tried for all prices and nothing available. I will wait for the arena show sale coming up soon. Amazing to have sold out that quickly. I guess that it's the Frontier Touring pre-allocation that's sold. Of course we have no idea what proportion of the total that is. Hang on for

Quotekitoise Nice interviews in fact! Saw on the "60 minutes" page that there was a Mick interview in 1984: is it available somewhere to DL it? Thanks Chris Don't know about downloading, but if you watch last night's interviews, a line of thumbnails appears along the bottom of the video. The 1984 interview was there when I watched it.

Quotewinos Ticketek have finally uploaded the seating plan....! The ticket prices are outrageous: I paid $150 for Aerosmith, $60 for Black Sabbath & $180 for the Boss for the same seat that the Stones are charging $375....how so Mick? I know production costs, labour hire etc is expensive but seriously is he having a lend??? Agreed. We're going to try for the Category3 seats - $20

Nice aerial photo of an actual concert at Hanging Rock. Also checkout that the article confirms the 18,000 licensed limit. And another nice groundlevel photo

Quotewinos No seating plan yet I suspect that Frontier touring is holding out publishing it until tomorrow (Monday) morning eastern Australian time. Paul Dainty for all the previous Stones tours has had the seating plans made available in plenty of time.....Gudinski is a very shrewd cat!!! It is perhaps a measure of my lack of shrewdness that I can't even begin to think what advantage come

Quoteabbey712 Our plan this time will be to drive from Bendigo to Woodend and take the free shuttle the rest of the way. Buses get priority at the end of the night so we hope this will help a bit, but in the end even all that waiting around is well worth it!! Interesting. I'll keep an eye out for information about the shuttle (and check if it's a different one to the one that mee
