Don't know if Steve was Mick's choice, but it was strange to use him as a producer for a rock n roll band. His CV is filled with the typical early 80's pop sound that seems innappropriate for the Stones. Maybe due to Undercover's relative lack of success they persued a modern producer that could turn the songs towards U2, Talking Heads, Peter Gabriel.

That they are touring in itself shows the core group are doing it for other reasons than personal financial gain...they should be secured already.
