The article describes the song as having a good groove but Jagger phones it in.

QuoteVoodooLounge13 How many outside of our little universe even knows it exists!?!! Surely that’s gotta be it!! Nobody has it yet. Very few non Stones fanatics would know it. Maybe non. I looked under search on this site and it has been mentioned a few times lately.

None yet. It will be hard to guess. If someone guesses it quickly I would think they would be cheating. It’s not obvious at all.

Maybe it’s been discussed here before but if not would anyone like to guess without cheating? I saw an article on Facebook listing least posted songs by numerous major artists.

Once again what is the point of doing this when the album won’t be released for 6 weeks. It makes no sense at all. The album should be out within a week.

People who really like this song were going to like anything the Stones released just because it’s the Stones, 5 years from now everyone will admit that they have not bothered to play this song in about 5 years. Still can’t get the point of pushing this media blitz and then not releasing album for 6 weeks.

I don’t understand the point of having this huge media blitz and then not releasing the album for 6 weeks. I only watch a couple of seconds of the Fallon thing and that was enough. I don’t like Fallon and except for Jagger (who can be really funny at times ) I dint find the Stones funny at all. I have never heard the others say anything funny. Wood suffers from British humor. Trying to be funn

Quotetreaclefingers Quotepowerage78 Fallon blowing on a dusty phone, that's daring. 18 years is a long time Yeah, I thought that was brilliant...just a very slight subtle diss. Perfect. The overuse of the word brilliant continues. It’s incredible at this point.

It’s strange with the Stones. They are the biggest lives ever but their album sales are not what you would expect. I think it’s the singles thing.

QuoteDandelionPowderman I believe he meant to say that ER was a "flop" compared to SG, sales-wise. I might be wrong, though. Album sales is where LZ beat the Stones, btw. Even In Through The Out Door sold more than all of the Stones's studio albums, except for SG. Two great bands, though, enjoy both. Mick Jagger was perplexed that In Through the Out Door sold so much. He didn

Quoteslew I find the posts on this board amusing. They are out of ideas, How dare they bring in an outsider like Watt, the markeiting is overkill, from about 8 seconds of actual music it doesn't sound promising etc. For crying out loud wait and hear the whole song and album. I'm happy to get anything at this point and I'm not expecting Exile On Main Street just hoping to hear one

QuoteHairball Nice work Mr. Jimi. In my neck of the woods in the greater SoCal/Los Angeles area between '73-'77, Led Zeppelin were indeed far more popular and superior than the Rolling Stones. I'd even give Led Zeppelin the advantage in 1971 due to the dominating Led Zeppelin IV - Stairway to Heaven must have been played 24/7 on radio stations everywhere. In the big pictur

Quotebakersfield I agree with exhpart about 'Brand New Set of Rules'. It sounded to me at the time like Mick addressing the end of married life with Jerry Hall and how their relationship would change in the future. I might be wrong... I would have enjoyed a super-bitchy song about Rupert Murdoch but I don't suppose he'll write that one. Mick Jagger doesn’t talk about his

Quotefranzk QuoteTomGreen As mentioned, he often sings from a character's perspective, but New Faces always struck me as a very vulnerable song. It's about losing someone to another guy, but I think it's the only song where ageing is referenced - the guys is "the figure of youth". Very different song for the Stones from any perspective. The thread going about the way

Quote24FPS I always found it amusing that the Stones, at least Mick & Keith seemed a little jealous of Led Zeppelin. Much like John Lennon always seemed jealous of the Stones after he no longer had a group. When did Jagger say anything to make it seem like he was jealous of Zeppelin? Now we know how Zeppelin reacted when they both toured at the same time in 1972. They threw tantrums and we

QuoteGasLightStreet Quotedcba [quote Quotelem motlow I’m starting to think Zep was a little over their heads. Page uses at least six or seven different open tunings and some that are hybrids that he made his own version of known tunings,Stu was a good boogie piano player but pretty basic. Yeah that’s the heart of the matter. Page thinks the more sophisticated a song is the better. Keith

QuoteGasLightStreet QuoteDan Quotesnorton The Who just can't pack an outdoor arena like the Stones, indoor of about 30k is their typical venue? They did a few stadium shows in 2019 but the last tour none of the shows were full it seems and a lot of shows were heavily discounted, I got a lower level (back) for MSG out of the box office for $67.50 in May and that show was maybe 90% full when

QuoteStonedRambler Quotedcba QuoteTheflyingDutchman Interesting to read the different perception of various people. And imho direct witnesses (aka "I was there dude!") are often NOT the best persons to assess a tour or a show. If they were stoned or drunk (69 72 75) it was "best show evah". If they saw a stadium gig (81 89) in the nosebleeds they'd tend to report it w
