I respect you suggestion and can understand where it comes for. However - this is like the issue of smoking at the end of a meal where various people meet together. For some it is obvious, other would say they would not come in the first place, or would just leave early. Still: almost ALL would enjoy a get together dinner without the smoking ceremony around the table just as we finish. So the &qu

QuoteLadykiller I can imagine to see The Rolling Stones back in Europe. Dates could be: London - Slane Castle - Edinburgh - Barcelona - Budapest - Munich - Prague - Milan - Sofia - Zagreb - Moscow - Helsinki - Luxembourg - Liechtenstein With so many "New" European countries that might be declared by summer 2015, I expect many of the "The RS never have played the republic o

The Who The Doors Quite lately I became a bit tired of my RS playlist, as it happens from time to time. The Who never found their way out of the playlist, but the doors did. I searched for a download of “Absolutely live” as I was away from home and from my vinyl copy of AL, including all the “bumps” of the record (scratches) which I learned to regard as an integral park of the song. Shows were great. Sound was great. They were relaxed. Everything went like Swiss watch. I think that, as far as my humble opinion goes, the highlights were: 1. Ronnie Wood. Not only his contribution, but also the fact that as a Stones fan you surely like to see him in such good shape. 2. Mick Jagger - well... like wine. He just gets better all time. 3. The quality of the product has been

This was the first ever tour of the Stones where I was able to attend and had a genuine feeling, in a calm and non histeric way, the feeling this is gonna be my "last RS live experience". My HP gigs last summer were definetly under a strong feeling there would be European dates following and I knew I'm gonna do them too. I planned for 2 gigs - my experience with the Paris ticket

Oh man... those Hiltler "Downfall" parodies could have worked great for summing up these type of discussions. Could have been a killer - also a killer for the user who did them. Well... its so much 2007 doing them so no point anyway.

QuoteBastion QuoteWroclaw always an issue with the Who in the UK - sometimes the crowd is great, sometimes sleepy Saw them last year in Newcastle, a distinctive memory I have during Won't Get Fooled Again was that of a 'larger' man taking off his t-shirt, waving it above his head and having security chase him all the way to the exit. Bloke must have been about 50. I recall a p

F&*king disgusting! this is a screen shot of viagogo for the "block A" (front rows) for the Newcastle gig... 8 hours after the pre sale! seems like we should define a new job title for all those forms and applications: "Opening tickermaster at 9AM, on 9:15AM changing to viagogo and thats my job".

QuoteBeast There are now so many presales going on for concerts that it makes a mockery of the whole process. For this one alone, there is the fan club presale, the AMEX presale, the AXS presale, the O2 presale, the Eventim presale and probably more still. And how can a reseller like double8tickets have a presale??? It's all a total farce. Yeah... felt that way too. Rock and Roll used to b

QuoteKaisan Hmm ... no dates for Europe, for example Germany, the Netherlands or France? Only in GB and North America? I would love to hear The Who once again, but I don't want to take a fly to these countrys (money and time). Guess that The Who are compensating their fans on the pair of Islands for not getting their Rolling Stones share during this summer

Had one for the Paris gig. I must admit I wouldn't feel comfortable buying an e ticket from unknown source - not that there is much choice in your case... especially for marked seats and in a country which is not "my home base"... getting to the gate and finding out your ticket is "no good" with an indifferent security people in front of you... king of a disturbing though

Quotecaschimann But why is that? Security reasons may be? Or Charlie & Co just want to be alone right after the gig? They are on a JOB - no longer the band of "mates" socializing together. I used to be, as a side job in the firm, the "travel coordinator" for my Div. You could see of when get older/richer/higher in the hierarchy etc. their time and personal convenie

Dublin actually works great for me, with that Belfast optional 2nd gig just after as I did last June (2013). Was pretty good, though I was surprised to see that Dublin people were far from enthusiastic and the O2 was half empty.. Were also quite "cold" though I met a couple of youngsters from Belfast who walked with me to the O2 from central Dublin and made me laugh my longs out all thr

QuoteRik Doesn't have iorr got a new key for the live shows since 1975? First open G then To B in the later years I think that Peoplewitheyes referred more to songs that were completely redone - not just played in different key/tempo. The example of "The Who" was a good one as their stage presence pre the reunion tours was mostly based on the basic structure of aggressive Drums&a

Gimmir Shelter and JJF at the 1972 tour were rather re worked and taken far from the original. Under My Thumb already mentioned: even though this could have been due to the lack of ability to play it live in the studio version.
