i admit i enjoyed reading all this bullshit, i mean...Keith its true he has arthritis and it's notorious, he feels sometimes and has limited his guitar parts a lot, ronnie doesn't have arthritis, i've seen a his recent concert in here he played in a theater dedicated to Chuck Berry and there was not even a second guitarist, some songs he played and sang without a band.

Last night some friends came to see me (not Rolling Stones fans) and I had one of these CDs playing in the background, someone told me what music it was because it was really cool, at which point I explained to them that it was RS, but what it was a music cd that was never officially released, they were shocked and told me it's better than most of the music out there today...

Quotepaulywaul QuoteGivenToFly15 I came across this video from the BBC with Ronnie Wood playing "Love In Vain" in a somewhat Stripped 95 fashion. At least I thought so. Does anyone know if this stuff was officially released somewhere? The "Five Guys Walk Into A Bar" boxset includes a different version. video: Fabulous ! Heh! Of course you don't want to harm Her M

QuoteGerardHennessy Quote24FPS QuoteRocky Dijon I would be quite fine to find myself "stuck" playing greatest hits to huge audiences around the world while growing obscenely wealthy. Just imagine working 14 days a year outside of rehearsals and the odd session. What a tough life. Bill was already wealthy. He just came off their most profitable tours, Steel Wheels in America, Japan, an

It doesn't remind me much of the Stones in this cover, I also struggle to match it to the Stripped version. Ronnie's style is obviously always the same, but I find them two so different versions... maybe one is electric with only one guitar, while the second is acoustic with two guitars and in my opinion it's a more classic version. I like both though...

QuoteTaylor1 QuoteDoxa QuoteTestify QuoteTaylor1 Bill Wyman was in the band for 30 years and during that time released I believe 21 albums of new material.Darryl Jones has been the bass player for 30 years now and during that time they put out Voodoo Lounge, Bridges and a Bugger Bang. A new album is overdue Maybe I missed the context .... but what does it have to do with it? It's not a race!

QuoteIrix Buddy Guy has also released two albums (with partly self-written songs) since turning 80. Ringo Starr released 3 EPs in 2021-2022 (partly self-written, since turning 80) - . ...it's not the same thing, one thing is the solo artist who can be managed as he wants, another is a band. Let's not forget that Mick has had heart surgery and Ronnie has battled cancer twice, Kei

QuoteGerardHennessy QuoteTestify It seems to me that a certainty that has been leaked so far is that Charlie will be on some tracks on the record, this excludes the fact that they are starting over. Maybe they are also working on some new tracks to include, but I think the bulk of the album is already decided. The only thing we know for certain is that we don't know ANYTHING for certain!

QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteDoxa Quotepowerage78 QuoteProfessorWolf Quotepowerage78 Well... Keith is never more rock 'n' roll than when he's playing with the Winos. Waddy rocks. What energy ! cool thanks steve helps too Strangely (or not), no recent version of Happy with the Stones reaches this level. No, they do not, but then again, that performance is a far cry

Personally I'm curious and can't wait for the release of this new album. I have also loved many recent albums like VL and ABB which I find excellent. Maybe my age, but I'm a bit tired of the usual Mick and Keith story, to me the Stones are a band and what they release they release as a band, I don't really care who wrote what, on the other hand nobody didn't care who wro

Quotesnoopy2 Quoteash QuoteMrEcho Quotewiredallnight Why should I buy vinyl records in mono? It's like buying a VHS cassette in black & white. Stereo for consumer use was first introduced in 1958. In the late 1950s and in the 1960s most LPs were usually released in separate mono and stereo versions. Singles were always in mono up until the late 1960s. In the late 1950s stereo LPs had a

QuoteHairball Thinking of Mick Taylor on his birthday....... Would be extra nice if Mick Taylor had a guest spot on the new album for a track (or a few) - an original and/or cover tune - it certainly was a missed opportunity to not have him included on Blue and lonesome. Instead they had Clapton play some underwhelming guitar parts. I love Clapton, but he sounds uninspired and tired on Blu

QuoteRocky Dijon You guys don't get it. If the new album that we stream and purchase multiple CD and vinyl versions of only runs 30 minutes and has ten songs, then we can spend four times as much collecting all of the bonus tracks on various platforms and formats. After that, we can complain that some of the bonus tracks should have been on the album instead of the ten songs they picked. Mea

It's true, in the last 18 years we've never had an album of new songs, but we've had so many other things! I never thought that in 2022 the Stones were still around so I'm not complaining and I find complaints odious. Let's enjoy what is and what will be... while it lasts.

Quote24FPS I'm still listening to it. I'm not sure we'll ever get as amazing a release as El Mocambo for the Stones, ever. I can't even imagine what would be left of that magnitude. The Golden Era Stones, live, with something to prove. Now that I have it, I realize Love You Live was a big mistake. El Mocambo should have been the release. Things must always be contextualised, i
