AA’s web site says the 5:10pm arrival from CLT is early and at the gate. Hopefully guyrachel made the flight and on the move to COTA.

Quotejjazznola69 We are in Silver which still looks far back. So is the lawn elevated? It must be to see past those stands and equipment at the back of Gold Circle. I'm bummed I bought Silver tix but there were no Gold tix available back when I purchased although there were Golds on sale yesterday. Yes, concert area is on hillside. Stage is at lowest point. Hill rises gradually towards oth

QuoteMisterDDDD Quotejmd Aerial view of stage and concert area: (No way this set-up holds 120,000; guessing 60,000 give or take.) Cool video. Don't believe anyone ever expected 120k, that's just the listed capacity for the venue. Technically COTA never has listed capacity; they are cool with folks running with the 120,000 figure. Part of their smoke and mirrors…for exampl

Aerial view of stage and concert area: (No way this set-up holds 120,000; guessing 60,000 give or take. Very reminiscent of Prague in 2019.) Gold Circle area looks like an awesome vantage point; almost makes me wish I had bit the bullet and made the trip…

QuoteHalup Does anyone know if one can park on the residential streets near COTA? Despite what that FAQ states of parking from $30, I’m only seeing $60 (for Lot A) and up to $200 on Ticketmaster. Lot A looks pretty far from where the concert is held. I’ve driven a car to 6 out of the 7 shows I’ve seen this year and have spent a total of $15 for parking, which was in Tampa, where I parked at so

Quotejjazznola69 My lot is not far from the venue at all. And I can take the back roads to get in without going anywhere near the main entrance. It's all about planning ahead. I can't wait, it's gonna be a blast! Just wish Gary Clark Jr was opening but going to see him tonight here in New Orleans. Yup… For reference, distance from Turn 11 of the track (closest turn to Gate 1)

QuoteDan Austin is mostly locked down, just trying to figure out flights. My best flight option out is 5:48am. The 2 times I tried rideshare here for early morning flights I almost didn't make it. SO, my question is, if anybody knows, should I go for the 5:48am and if I can't get a Lyft, how walkable are the streets from the area where the hotels are on E Ben White Bl to the airpo

QuoteMongoose WELCOME TO ATLANTA! It's been my hometown for the past 40 years, and it's a great mixture of big city and small town wrapped into one. Here are some inside tips that might help first timers: FOOD (at the show) Mercedes Benz Stadium is amazing, and has probably the best Concessions of any arena I've visited. Go to Concourse 100 for an amazing selection of

Quotejjazznola69 ME: Will there be a shuttle from Downtown to The Stones concert at COTA? I cannot find any info on this anywhere which seems rather strange to me being just a month away. I need to plan ahead as we are getting into town that afternoon. From COTA TICKET OFFICE: Thank you for reaching out about the upcoming Rolling Stones concert. I’m sorry for any confusion regarding t

QuoteDan If I have to do a bit of walking can someone tell me if the major streets surrounnding the area (Eloy Rd or 812) have sidewalks? All roads surrounding track (Elroy, Kellam, 812, McAngus) are 2-4 lane country roads. No sidewalks, a few streetlights, walk on shoulder. Once you walk a few miles there are some subdivisions with some sidewalks. Better plan is to share a ride.

QuoteMisterDDDD Quotedaspyknows Some training of staff would also help. It seemed that most of the staff had never even walked around the stadium and beyond the door they worked was a black hole. I would have expected the black hole at the Raiders stadium. Right?? I honestly would never go the stadium for almost (stones) any reason again. The sound was real spotty as well.. great in the p

QuoteDan More on the shuttle situation here: "I called COTA today and they said they're getting a shuttle service together and should hopefully have more info on it next week. Apparently there were existing plans for a shuttle service but a lack of drivers at the shuttle company is causing COTA to work something out with the city instead." Last month I had a question on

QuoteHairball Not sure what you're referring to with the "15-20 minute bottleneck waiting to get through those tunnels to seats" at the Rose Bowl. I never had that problem - not at the Stones show in 2019, or any other show that I recall for that matter - including the Stones in '94. Oh well, I just hope they never tear it down...there's a certain beauty to the old scho

QuoteHairball Personally, not a big fan of any of these new gargantuan behemoths - I prefer venues like the historic Rose Bowl, and even the old Coliseum, just as I prefer the old L.A. Forum over Staples Center...or the old MGM Grand Arena over the sterile T-Mobile arena. I probably would have preferred the dirty old and decrepit Jack Murphy stadium in San Diego where the Stones were originally s

Link on COTA site for 11/20 still seems to work… Looks like a typical COTA/TM cluster to me. (I assume COTA is constructing those bleachers on “superstage” area by now. Maybe someone in Austin can confirm…if so, the show won’t be moving to amphitheater.)

QuoteDan Quotecharlesbaudelaire Does anybody have recommendations for pizzerias in Vegas? Any places you've actually been that you can recommend? Surprised to hear it was closed in August as we were there

QuoteHalup Here’s a new rumor for a third L.A. show after the Hollywood show. Take the following with a “grain of salt”. I’m attending the Strokes concert at the Forum tonight and wore a Stones tshirt. As I was getting my ticket scanned, a security guy asked me if I was going to see them next door in November. I said I am seeing them in November in Vegas and other cities, but the Sofi shows were

Quotejjazznola69 After checking out the ways in and out I chose Lot L. It just seems that you can sneak out up Elroy Rd to Fagerquist Rd and stay away from all of the other lots emptying out. I hope I'm right. Haha. We will probably leave during the last song to get a jump out of there. Good luck! One more thing…COTA’s site suggests to use Waze for updated directions. We used it and it

Quotejjazznola69 Yeah I came to that same conclusion last week when it looked like there would be no shuttle so I rented a car although I rarely do when I visit Austin which is often (3rd time this year). I prefer to Uber, takes busses and use bikes and scooters to get around but have no desire to Uber to this show. Any advice on the best lot to use? I want to get out quickly to hit C-Boy's

Hope, there will be one from the airport...and 3 golden circle at face value and I'm (almost) in heaven There won't be any "shuttle" from the airport that goes anywhere except local airport parking lots. Cabs and Ubers will, of course, be available. If you're coming in from out of town and

QuoteDEmerson QuoteKennedy If you are planning to spend a couple extra days in Austin, these 2 food spots are a MUST: 2. Salt Lick BBQ. It's a ways out of town, so you may want to carpool with the group. It's got a great outdoor area with lots of seating and entertainment if there is a wait, which is likely. Very important to note that it is BYOB, so pack a cooler. They have a

Circumnavigated Sofi from the Prairie Ave side and finally got to the Lucky Dip window around 8pm. Sadly, no pits or VIPs with super secret buffet in Stan Kroenke’s private box for my wife and I. Drew Section 231 Row 5. Great seats for $69. Quite content…great show topped off with a Dodger win.
