Looking at their 100% different set list on night#2 makes me realize how special these guys are to their fans. Can you imagine going to three stones shows and no songs are repeated…

I think adding Ben Waters Boogie Woogie piano is a great throwback to some of the great pianists who’ve played with the band, and a welcome addition to their sound. We’ll deserved. Let’s hope he makes the cut to be on the tour as well!

And then Wyman reveals this isn’t exactly the whole truth. “When Mick (Jagger) asked if I would play on one of the tracks in tribute to Charlie, of course I immediately said yes. But I haven’t flown in decades, so I just went over to Metropolis Studios here in London and recorded my part. Mick indicated he’s delighted with the track, so that’s a bonus, but that’s the extent of my ‘return.’ A

Randy Scouse Git In February 1967, Micky Dolenz and Michael Nesmith were in London and the Beatles threw a party for the Monkees in London.[2] According to Dolenz, the song was written about this party held at the Speakeasy nightclub. There are references in the song to the Beatles ("the four kings of EMI") and to other party attendees such as Cass Elliot of the Mamas & the P

Great project idea, I’ll give it a shot, but will take some time. First I have to separate what I like live vs studio. SFM moved past Rambler live for me but neither hits my top 10 from the studio, for example

About a week before they played soldiers Field in Chicago, we couldn’t wait. We drove down to Lexington and bought two wristbands for general admission floor. Rupp Arena was a new facility that normally hosts the Univ of Kentucky basketball games. We thought it would be much better than only seeing them at soldiers Field, a huge football stadium . Somehow, we got to the front row. They opened wit

I watched the tickets closely for 10 days before Portland and there were a lot of tickets and the prices didn’t come down until the day of the show, and then the pit went from several thousand to 450 bucks, and Ticketmaster dropped some seats that were nice at face value behind stage, but with a great view, as you can see from this video link below, and I can’t believe it has gotten almost 90,000

Here’s the encore, minus the final song. I’ll add a few more to my YouTube channel later today. It’s so inspirational to wake up feeling my age and then think back to last night, or nights where I’ve seen the Stones and remember these guys are 10-15+ years older than I am. Who thought rock stars would be health influencers as they grew old? I guess for some it’s not such a drag… C

Great show in Portland tonight. Ticketmaster dropped row 1 behind stage so paid $200 face and felt like I was on stage with the band. Watched the apps and they didn’t change really from my earlier post, except the pit dropped to $450. Bruce was closer to the early 80s LA Sports Arena Bruce than the NY Theater Netflix Bruce. This was a rock show and he delivered. No breaks between most son

@crholmstrom thanks! I used to sleep outside at The Flip Side record store in the 70s before they randomized your place in line, and sometimes that ended up being more fun than the concert. I also used to sell bootleg tshirts at various venues around Chicago when I was in High School (best job ever), and when the Stones announced their 75 tour, we slept outside Chicago Stadium to get direc

Has anyone sat behind or on the side of the stage this tour and if so, how’s the sound and the visual? Are there projection screens facing the back or side? Does he play to those in the back too? Thanks! CHELSKEITH

One to add to the list: 1976 White Sox Park Derringer Jeff Beck w/Jan Hammar Aerosmith The stadium started on fire when Beck was playing- literally- during his Set.. “The unassuming Jeff Beck eventually noticed the chaos in the far reaches of the stadium. "Are we gonna let this fire bother us?", Beck asked the huge crowd. "@#$%& the fire!", the moody guitarist res

Charles, after that show I kept flying back from Calif to STL and I saw you and your sister with your Dad play that room many times. As he got older you guys helped him put on a great show, and I remember some songs he played from the couch in that little room just off stage…and when his muscle memory kicked in and he hit a lick like only Chuck could, it was magic. Hope you’re well, thanks fo

Let’s hope for a double Vinyl LP with 62-68 min like they did with Exile (12th) and Bridges (23rd). The making of Exile took years and the finishing started in LA in December 71 and finished in March 72, released two months later, with a tour starting 3 weeks after the release. Bridges finished in July and was out two months later, with a tour to support it. LA in the winter offers wa

I was lucky enough to see Freddy outside and he got me in. Not sure why he did that for me as I barely knew him, but he went to the door and got JC to tell the local bouncer to let me in and next thing you know I'm in. He mumbled something about the action outside interested him more as he stayed behind and I went in. The show and my memory of it is like a surreal blur, except I remember

How cool they played a tribute in that fashion to Charlie - we all were so blessed he was in our lives. Would be cool if there's a pro shot or soundboard released some day from this, I'll bet they nailed it, sorry I could'nt have been there, must have been special for those who were present. CHELSKEITH

I've always liked the slow middle part starting in this early version from Hyde Park 1969 ... the contrast of the guitars playing off each other and the fact Mick T and Keith were just forming a musical bond that created some great music over the next few years makes it interesting for me. Surprised this YouTube version has only 1799 views as while its not a full version of the song, its
