Simply the the greatest rock and roll band in the world. The best live show experience for over 50 years.

Thank you everyone. While I only know a few of you personally, it was awesome to read all of your warm remarks. My wife loves the band, but not quite to my level of irrational passion. I showed her your posts, and all she could say was "wow."

I'm on this board as Vibrolux (a great Fender amp), but my real name is Mark, and I'm 62. Two days before the Havana show, my 26 year old son Eric died in a rock climbing accident. It's been devastating, but my family and I are doing what we can, one step at a time. I missed being with all of you for the Havana show. But I liked knowing that you were all out there together in

A pretty odd set up. The closest seats in the stands are pretty far away. And front row means a lot of different things at this show. I don't think I'd want to be on the extreme outside of row 1. Even the end of the catwalk is far from the end of the seats. But let's put this in perspective... If you handed me tickets for those seats for Thursday night, I'm on a plan

One of the best parts of going to a show is the minutes before they go on. You know it's coming very soon. You're more than ready. You wait for that moment when the lights suddenly go down. I'm sitting here in my home office waiting for the show to begin. No, it's not the same as being there... but it's just a little bit like it and right now, that's good e

Quoteswimtothemoon Wow great shot. What a memory - 2nd row center for a 72 tour show! I don't think I've ever gone a year without looking at my pix from that show. It definitely keeps the memory fresh. The other reason I remember to vividly is that I earned those tickets... My friends and I camped at the Forum for three days to be first in line when the ticket windows opened.

QuoteRollin' Stoner Great Shot! would make a great poster As a matter of fact, I had a bunch of large posters made of this shot way back when. Turned out to be a pretty good move. Providing these posters improved my popularity with a lot of girls at the time!

The Forum in L.A. 1972. Second row dead center. I snuck in my SLR and shot three rolls of Ektachrome that night. This is one of the best ones. I've kept this "in the vault" long enough. Time to share it with my friends at IORR. After my original post, DGA35 asked for more pix. This one isn't quite as clear, but here you go!

Hockenheim, you owe me two hours back! After I saw your stats, I had to see mine. I've been to 23 shows dating back to 1969 (I was 15). I won't list every song, but my summary stats are as follows: 23 shows 109 songs The only song performed at all 23 shows was Jumpin' Jack Flash. Brown Sugar comes in second at 22, but it didn't exist in 1969. Honky Tonk Women

I went to two shows this time around. Both rocked. As far as I can tell, the guys don't take a show off. They bring it every night. But certain performances of certain songs elevate certain shows above the others. I have to say that the KC show was a cut above based on a handful of songs: * It was exceptionally cool to hear them sing "Kansas City" in Kansas City. * They ban

Interesting thread. They're very different songs with very different tempos. Brown Sugar is near perfect mid tempo rock and roll song. Killer guitar parts, on-the-edge lyrics and the instrumental part right before each verse is awesome. Add the sax break in the middle, end with "Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Woo and you've got all the elements of a classic. Honky Tonk Women has slow

Not seeing a lot of 5 stringers here, at least in the most recent pages. Here's my #1 five string. It's a custom made 1985 Jackson, made by the original team in San Dimas, CA. A bunch of my guitars were stolen and I took all the insurance money and had this guy built to rock 30 years ago. Seymour Duncans and split coils for both pickups, so I get the fat humbucker sound and the thin

Quotewhitem8 I left during Satisfaction. I was on the floor and wanted to have a different view and went up to the stands. ON the way up this young couple, probably late teens asked if they could have my wrist band. I gave them the band and my ticket. My night was perfect and Satisfaction, well is a song I have in my DNA now. So no worries there. And I was close the exit and was out and on the st

I want to add my voice to everyone saying that you need to see the band on this tour. I've been spoiled over the years by being able to snag great seats to see the band up close on may occasions. I live in California. Getting a great seat for San Diego was way beyond my budget. I decided to go to one show wherever I could get a great seat. After weeks of trying I was suddenly able to

I hope there are some better ones out there, but here is a video I shot of "Kansas City" from the KC show. I was in the middle of section B in the third row, so as you can imagine it was pretty insane there when they played this song. I did the best I could to keep them in the frame. But the sound is pretty good. Enjoy!
