It's just the same as Cameo. Lot of faux outrage, there's absolutely nothing wrong or "demeaning" about this.

Their 1967 (?) concert at the Wembley Empire Pool is one of my favorite music memories. They were great performers, and a much better band than they were ever given credit for. RIP Wool Hat.

QuoteHalup I think Bjornulf’s article about 50-60 vaccinated people getting Covid at the party with 120 in attendance does make one question how well vaccines are preventing infection. Nobody ever claimed Vaccines prevent infection!! Their purpose is to prevent you from becoming very sick or dying if you DO get infected!

Quotetreaclefingers Quote2000 LYFH I thought Alice was killed by his Killer who is 50 years old! LOL. That's exactly why I opened this thread, a little freaked out. Same!

What an awesome story. (And Janet Klein and her Parlor Boys, what a great name.) He's an old song-and-dance man, so I'm sure he loves the music. His show is one of my favorite childhood memories.

Hmm, just reading through the comments and there seem to be a lot of "I built up these expectations and the band failed to deliver," which may not b entirely logical. I was only able to catch bits and pieces, and it may not have been the best show of the tour, but any Stones show is better than most other bands' shows, so I'm reserving judgment on this one.

Some of the entourage are still there--Bernard, Darryl, Chuck and others just left after getting a tour of third Man Records and the Third Man Pressing Plant (reports my correspondent on the ground).

Sounds like a really solid show, sorry I wasn't able to follow online. Man, I hope they return to the US post-Covid (or as "post" as we can ever get) so that I can see them again.

Thanks, have had trouble finding the setlist--had hoped to be at tonight's show, looks like it was a great one so I'll just have to imagine I was there. At least I missed the rain!

I'd stopped following them by that time, but I'd have loved to have seen T. Rex with the Damned!

I followed Tyrannosaurus Rex around the country because I loved them, the spareness and intensity of the two-piece (must be why I ended up loving the White Stripes!). I even saw them when their support act was David Bowie as a mime, along with a sitarist. John Peel was often on hand. Then Hot Love hit big, they took off and I still followed T. Rex around and the shows were great but it wasn&

I remember watching this ad on TV and thinking that sounds just like the Rolling Stones, but they couldn't possibly be doing an ad for a cereal, they're not that kind of band. (Or in those days, I'd have said group.) It wouldn't have occurred to me to think that emerging bands need cash infusions, etc.

QuoteDannyboy HOW MUCH I DISLIKE THE DAILY MAIL I would rather eat Quavers that are six week’s stale, blow dry the hair of Gareth Bale, listen to the songs of Jimmy Nail, than read one page of the Daily Mail. If I were bored in a waiting room in Perivale, on a twelve hour trip on British rail or a world circumnavigational sail, I would not read the Daily Mail. I would happily rea

QuoteDoxa And who the exactly Paul McCartney is? For the most of the folks, casual fans that is, he is nothing but a Beatles relic. No one gives a shit about his solo records for the last 50 years or so. He is not any Bob Dylan who is 'educated' his audiences to know what to expect. He is too commercial and pop-oriented for that. He wants to be like the Rolling Stones, a big thing. So,
