...Well alright!! (as Mick would exclaim on Ya Yas) I'm on the Change.Org site and it walks you through, step by step how to put together a petition. I am at a point where they are asking me to upload a photo (at least 1200 x 675 pixels - to look good on all screen sizes). Ok folks, here's your chance to shine! We can make this sort of like a contest! Can someone post (a nice 69 c

QuoteProfessorWolf change.org is my choice as for your concern about the site being used for mostly "serious" issues it seems plenty of people have started petitions there like yours how will the significant number of fans in japan, latin america and elsewhere be able to find out about or access this petition? QuoteErik_Snow Don't mean to put your/our hopes down, Sighunt, but I just wondered; since ABKCO put out most of the MSG recordings on youtube, 2 years ago, just before the copyright ran out; wouldn't they get a big percentage of the income of any "deluxe GYYYO" in adition of being in the situation where they can say "no" to Jagger & co ? If so, it's mo

Hi Professor, Although several people have responded on this site (and through my e-mail) stating that they feel this is a great idea and back it, unfortunately, nobody has volunteered to assist or get involved with the next steps needed to take this proposal to the next level. I've always appreciated El Mocambo, but I felt that it didn't fit on Live You Live. Being a small club show, it has it's own energy and vibe that doesn't gel with the other three sides. It really should have been released in its entirety and/or on its own. I suspect that it would have been better received as a seprate release.

QuoteRobertJohnson I agree completely. Many thanks for your efforts and your time. I would still emphasize as an argument for a complete release of all three concerts that the band never played the songs in the same way back then, so fundamental differences can be noticed even by a broader audience and not only by the fans. Interesting thoughts, I tried, without going overkill, to make that poi

Quotecrholmstrom Looks good. I fear it will fall on deaf (from listening to the real MSG tapes too loud) though. You all will probably have to wait until the estates get involved. Pretty sure I'm not going to be around by then. Chuck, this is precisely why I want to push for this release. Before I leave this Earth, I would like to hear/see/hold in my hands a nice box set of what I consider

Quotedeardoctortake1 Yes there’s enough for an almost full concert. Most footage was from 11/27. It sounded exactly like the vinyl bootleg Stoned MSG. My gut tells me this footage was the source of the bootleg LP. Little Queenie was not shown, but that’s already available elsewhere. Other than that it was spliced as an almost complete show in actual running order. Satisfaction and Live With Me

Quotedeardoctortake1 The Maysles unreleased MSG 69 footage was fun to see at the Shidoobee event in 2007. Good quality, color, decent fidelity, mostly one camera if I remember correctly. Maysles owned the rights. He tried to pitch it to the Stones for a future project, but it didn’t go anywhere. The $64,000 question: Is there enough footage to cobble together a complete concert?

Okay, I spent the last several days working on, honing and refining what turned out to be more of a letter to send out to Abkco, the Stones organization, various Stones boards, etc. Now, before you read what I wrote, criticize and/or throw me to the wolves (LOL), a couple comments and thoughts need to be shared with you. I have received several private e-mails from posters who visit this site

Hello Stones fans of the 69 shows, as you obviously know by now, I have posted a draft of a potential letter/petition to send out. I want to encourage folks on this board, who like me, want to see a release of these great shows, to read the draft, and if there are drastic changes that you think need to be made in the context of the proposal (releasing audio of the three shows from November 1969 a

QuoteProfessorWolf just have to ask but if mick says ok but thinks that releasing all the msg shows together is to repetitive or something and decides to just release one which show would be best or most preferred? Professor, your observation IS a very big concern of mine right from the beginning, and is something I am working on addressing in this petition. Good minds think alike!

I am currently working on a rough draft of a potential petition/letter that I will unveil to this group probably next week as I am on vacation and should have some time to work on it. After that, I will need volunteers from this group to then post it and/or promote it on other Stones fan boards. I may scout around again to see if I can advertise in some (reasonably priced) music trade mag

Quoteshawnriffhard1 Here, here!! I too, think this is a brilliant idea. I also think the video component is a huge part of it. It's been discussed here before, without total agreement, that some Shidoobees of Stonesdoug's group, enjoyed a night at Albert Maysles place where they viewed an entire show's worth of MSG video. It wasn't clear what show(s) was seen as there was a CI

Quote24FPS Are the shows different? Hendrix put out a boxset of all the New Years Eve Band of Gypsys shows at the Fillmore East. But there were plenty of songs not on the original album. It's not like the Stones play tunes differently one night to the next. The answer to that question is no, other than I'm Free which is tagged on at the end of Under My Thumb on 11/27 and featured agai

Quotetreaclefingers Using the old "Rolling Stone" star ranking system, and ranking only the added tracks as if they were there own album, this is how I'd rank the series of albums so far, sans the original album. so this is only the extra cuts on each album, as if they were their own release: **** 1/2 - Some Girls Deluxe - 4.5 stars - a very solid consistent album worthy
