Well I keep having to delay any retirement plan until they retire. It has now been close to 40 years since my first show and I am hearing "and beyond"; I guess I'll work until I drop. LOL and they'll probably still be doing shows after that, and nothing could make me happier!

If they ever announced that this is it, as strongly suggested over and over here, they could sell out anywhere any time. If the said this is good bye to our American fans, they would sell out 7 MSG shows easily with people from all over.

At the door to the after party for ABB, with a few friends, I got to say hello to KR, but the majority of the conversation was really with Anita Pallenberg. She and I had shared a ciggie on the street . She was open, polite and funny. I will always remember, I walked up to her and said "Ms. Pallenberg, can I have your autograph."She smiled and replied, " If you had asked if I was

Quoterebelrebel QuoteDandelionPowderman I attended shows in 2012, 2013 and 2014 and they were all great. The poorest one was HP1, though. Didn't attend any US shows, but watched the PPV from Newark. Judging by that performance it would by far be the lamest show - but it would of course be different being there, getting the right sound and the live experience. I don't know why peo

Well with a seat up front for the last scheduled show, all this talk is a bit eerie feeling to me. South American Stadiums may be a bit much for me...but a man has to do what a man has to do. I guess somehow I just have to be sure to be at the last show of any scheduled activity, because after 40 years to not be there would break my heart.

Between this and the intro to "Scarf Me Up". it would be hard to guess which intro is botched more often. But that as always been part of the Stones, the magic is how quick they recover and continue to keep us enthralled. In fact , there is a widely circulated disc of some of there more memorable train wrecks, though I have lost mone and cannot remember the title. Any Help Please?

I understand from the rumor mill that it is a conspiracy designed by viagogo and seatwave management with minimal input from getmein to piss you off Paul Right now the CEO's are in a Parisian luxury suite smoking big hand-rolled Havana cigars with tumblers of single malt Scotch Whisky reading IORR expectantly awaiting your next post LOL I am of course jealous of you doing these shows an

LOL actually Paul for some reason I thought of Sara on the 4 out of 5 tickets. And I hate the viagogo thing , but its the chicken and egg question. In an era of increasing government control and legislation, there are many who think just adding more laws is not the answer. It could be argued that if people with 4 tickets would just be satisfied, as they more or less had to be 25 years ago, and

In a world where even the official price of a PIT ticket can run over $1000 as a "package", the prices have gotten insane. I am not sure what the answer is, because it cuts both ways. And I am not the only poster here that feels this way, in fact I frequently chat with a few, but we have gotten spoiled. Gone are the days when sitting at the back of the floor seems enough for some of us,

The prices below are cut and paste from Viagogo This has been standing for months as the ultimate sign of greed. The show is Mt Smart Stadium, Auckland, presumed last show of 2014. A2 is the block next to the catwalk on Ronnie's side. AND THEY DON'T EVEN LIST ROWS OR SEATS.This leaves insanity behind and approaches some sort of perversion. A2 Floor M $1,175.00 Buy A2 Floor $1

Pretty Amazing about those Tongue PIT tickets, especially since on the original Perth date they were sold out in minutes and remained that way even up to the day of the cancelled show. Makes me wonder just how many of these cherished spots go out to people who travel to see multiple shows that cannot or will not pay for a second trip down under in one year.

WOW both Perth shows are dropping PIT tickets at $580, off course after I have in panic bought package pit tickets for each. Kind of a bitter pill to swallow, but who could know? Originally they disappeared in minutes. I guess the silver lining is that there will be less of us at the early entrance ...I just don't want to hold the extras all day long.

As time gets closer I hope we all get together and plan a gathering spot to meet and talk. There are many great spots in Central Auckland on the Harbor and trains lead to and from the stadium. Curiously, the stadium has no parking. Anyhow plenty of time for that! Perth Perth Melbourne Sydney Auckland

LOL I win the bet, Hell they couldn't stop being critical for 3 posts let alone a whole page. And for the guy that apologizes for Taylor by saying he is under rehearsed, Taylor is doing fine and needs no apologies. And if he did, he has been playing the same two songs now show after show for over 35 shows since the O2 50 and Counting, so if that ain't enough practice, how hot of an ace

I have to agree with Dandelionpowderman, this thread was not "lets compare..." that has been done to death. This thread did not ask, "What do you think of Ron Wood's Solos." This thread was about appreciation of the work done by a man. If there is NOTHING you like then why bother? It's like going on a wine tasting tour and at the Winery bitching that there has never

Right now if you buy a package for Auckland u can get as good as second row 10 seats from the catwak Ronnies side if looking for a single. As far as regular price, it has to be a sham. I was signed into my account clicking back and forth at the moment Perth 2 went on sale, at all times Pit tickets were tied up until at 3 minutes after the opening they were exhausted. Oh yeah, the packages are st

LOL you are right Deathgod, I had the same realization this morning right before I posted. The reason to pay the package was the early entrance, which now appears to be what everyone in the pit did so I am not sure what the advantage is really any more!

I wonder why if no one wanted the job Black and Blue is a recorded testament of guitarists that went beyond a phone call or visit and sat down and made music with the group. Come on, Harvey Mandel and Wayne Perkins went so far as to record music with a band that they did not want to work with, that stretches my imagination to the limit. I always wonder what tempts someone to hang around a fan sit

I have package pit tickets for Perth 1, Melbourne, Sydney. I saw the Singapore shows from a seat that was well placed and enjoyed it thoroughly. I am starting to think that if I can't get a pit ticket for the second Perth without a package, maybe I should take a seat out in the audience. At some point it is almost like I am feeding an addiction, chasing the rush of being able to afford a pla

Said it before and agree with HonkyTonkFlash, glad he gets the idea, can we get back on track? Stop the bickering with Mathijs, if you disagree with him use one up manship, just don't respond here. Leave Taylor out of the thread all together. he certainly wasn't mentioned in the opening post or title of the thread. If you want to discuss faults or comparisons of the two guitarists there

Well after all my years on this board I would never have dreamed that one day I would agree with or come to the defense of Mathijs, but I will. I don't think he is anti-Taylor at all. He is just trying to de-mythologize him. In the late 60s and early 70s when many of the BIG BRIT stars wanted to turn the blues into their own rapid fire volume drenched solo driven music , Taylor was the man t

Jeeze am I the only one that enjoys RW's solo on CYHMK, he navigates just fine thank you so much. I am reminded that historically the group did not play this song live with Taylor, because after an attempt they could not get it to work. I also know that through the years set lists get trimmed as the group decided what works and what does not , and Mick has become an infamous nit picker on de
