Open G you misunderstand me, I agree that he shoud be recognized for what he did, though opinions on that may vary. But I am agreeing with Diedre and Stones 40 that there is life before after, and besides Mick Taylor. Admitting to those thoughts in another post, and then happily chortling with others that felt the same way, got me ruthlessly savaged with all the terms that you see me use above.

The need for Keith to sing THREE songs is indeed very new. On early albums none...and I can only recall at the msot two through Voodoo lounge. I think three started with B2B, skipped No Security, and recently happened on the live collection just released. I may be wrong, have been before !The other issues I agree withyou on.

Be careful you guys about having your opinions on this....you might get asked to leave the board after being accused of being empty minded demosntarted by youer spouting alternatively garbage and piss on the basis that you have issue with MT and his fans! LOL trust me , I know after stating the same ideas on other posts hahahhahahahhahaha! We must only state such heresies in secrecy or suffer the

MCDDTLC,I see your point, and I am glad that you feel you have the right to disagee with me and others, because as you state at the end, it is your opinion. But Logie, Jesus Christ, excuse me for having an opinion that is different from yours! I certainly never told either of you or other fans of MT to take a piss or accused you of being an idiot. In fact, I pointed out before hand to Milo that

Oh now we will surely all join each other in Hell...so Milo and Tomstones what will we drink while we are there? Now another person has suggested besides me that MT would never have risen to the theater level, let alone areanas , on his own. He is famous BECAUSE he was a Rolling Stone, not the opposite. His solo albums exist BECAUSE he was a Rolling Stone: I mean in a similar a situation, how man

MLC have to break it to ya, MT was never a "member" of the Stones, he was a hired gun at all times. Ronnie spent years in the same position, though it was his own choice to take the job on a salary wrongly based on what he thought the lonegvity was going to be of the Stones. Over a decade ago he was made, very legally and very publically, a full fledged and equal member of the Rolling S

Tomstones, LOL, you must burn at the stake as a heretic! Next you will say that the solo to TWFNO is easy to play and not the pinnacle of rock musicianship! I have always thought that some people that do not hear what you do.I hear it to and have often likened it to someone in their living room strapping on a guitar and practicing lead to a Stones album. Peole who have not heard it , IMO, have

Oh Edward Iagree woth you totally and that is the point I am trying to make, about this post in particular, and about the MT situation in general. In that tour in Australia, they were Rock and Roll personified, they have never surpassed that magic there for me. Later it seemed that that magic took a back seat to MT's tecnical skills as you say, maybe by Brussels. I would rather hear a good ba

I have alwasy felt that the boot I have from Perth that tour outshines all else, INCLUDING a Brussels affair. Edward, I am surprsied to hear you say that about MT, but I agree 100%. By his final days, MT was almsot as much a distraction as some peole find Chuck today. And before OpenG pounces for my Jugular, it is not that he played bad guitar, it just seems he had no connection with the group; t

I thought it was a great experience. As far as food went though, it was very mush along the lines of a Hard Rock cafe or any number of chains. It was unigue because the decor was so focused on the Stones, but the food was T.G.I. Fridays, Applebee's type stuff. I mean good portions and great quality, but not outstanding or exotic. I guess "dependable" might be a good description. I

Hey jumpingkentflash, you are on! I was in Amsterdam a few years back, and judging by how few memories of the nights I have, I must have had an awesome time ahhahah! Really tho, my travelling friend and I are already discussing possible sites to hit on the next tour, and Amsterdam is at the top of the list.

Hey Mitch,Doug is a great guy. We are not personal friends yet, but we write each other now and then. We hope to meet on the next tour! Keep all your negativity to yourself, up your dose of thorazine, just say no to the voices in your head, and leave the rest of us alone.

I think the general feeling is that they still want to do mainland China just for the experience. Or maybe that is wishful tinking on my part since I am still close and could get there for what would have to be a wonderful event very easily.

LA Forum, you are a brave guy to come right out and call a spade a spade. LOL I guess in multiple posts I have tried to hint at tha fact that maybe Keith is at least as responsible if not more so than Mick for problems. God knows living in the adult world and having a managerial position, I could never tolerate a worker let alone a partner that could not be depended to show up for work / rehearsa

It seems incredible in retrospect, that having followed thr group as I have, I was suckered into buying the second memebership last year. To be honest, the only time teh first membership was a help was for the Australian arena shows I saw on the last tour. I now doubt the DVD will ever come out and wonder why there has been no legal action. I still hope against hope that the guys will try and

Logie, I do disagree with you. In the same time period that we are discussing Ronnie was playing with some of the most respected rockers. He would not have been a laughing stock. He was important in an incarnation of Jeff Beck's group, and of course the ONLY guitar player for The Faces, a group whose importance and relevance cannot be denied no matter what it's members are doing today.

I see this bit about MT's period with the group being the Golden Age, and I agree. But I will always hold that had as much if not more to do with the producers involved and certainly much much more to do with the fact that Mick and Keith were at their peak. MT is often counted in as being on LIB, but in fact his presence there is almost non-existant. And we should not forget that though he w

Keith not sneaky? Maybe we should ask Ry Cooder what he would say about that. I am amazed year after year that people are often so polarized into opposite camps by the Glimmer Twins, often seeng the Twin of choice as near Godly and the other as the creator of every percieved problem with the group. Niether of these guys has survived over 40 years in show business without cutting a few throats

BTW , to the poster above, on tour, Keith DOES wear makeup. It might just be a bit of Kohl around the eyes to darken them, but front row B-stage it becomes a bit obvious.

I had this film at one time. Watched it once and tried to watch it a second time. Over the years and many moves, it is misplaced. I feel no need to search it out or replace it.

On Shidoobee they are talking about the "in the round" thing being a real possibility on an arena and samll theater tour only of the USA, follwed in the summer of 2006 with a Stadium only tour of Europe. It does not sound right to me. While I could see them do another all arena tour, I doubt they will want to skip the money of the US stadium all together. I aslo have trouble believin

What you seay is probably true Bjornulf, I am also sure that Mj, Kr and the rest all have their own personal MDs. But I am wondering, since the guys are older, there are probabaly minor crew work injuries, if they take a physician on tour with them. Now I woudl give up my island for a year or two to be the MD on tour! I wonder how in the hell you would research that job! Steve

Bruno, in many ways you are right; we need to allow and accept criticism. But the hackles rise for me when someone like Mikey implies that if I like current output as much as I do stuff that is 30 years old and older, that I am not a TRUE enthusiast. I have seen shows since 1975. I have hundreds of boots, studio stuff out the wazoo, and I am addicted to the boards. I AM A TRUE ENTHUSIAST AND Y

It is strange, to my mind at least, that the '78 shows are so revered now through the retrospectoscope. I think the handful of decent boots that keep getting mentioned are the reason. But to get a better picture, get the boot from the Cleveland stadium show. The press savaged the tour. It was either Look or LIfe magazine that ran an article with big glossy pics that suggested that it was
