QuoteNaturalust No doubt Keith was probably high on heroin when he wrote GS, he was in Robert Frasers apt. after all....but was the song about heroin? I seriously don't think so. At that point in his use of the drug it was a harmless warm blanket not a mad bull or any of the other dark sentiments expressed in the song. Keith talks about writing the song and specifically says "My tho

Quotesjs12 There's a song I play in my band where I do the intro. I used to play it perfectly every night. However, once during practice I messed it up we all laughed about it. Now, whenever I play it the drummer gives me a look and a smile and I know I'm going to miss it every time. It's obviously a mental block because I always got it right before that happened and, although we a

QuoteStoneage It's so old that I remember I rented it. I don't think you could buy it back then. I was actually disappointed with it. I guess I wasn't expecting the cheezy comedy bits and the heavy editing (lots of short clips). By now it's cult classic I guess... did'nt know it was a classic. think i just liked it because i was about 20 and it was like nothing i'

QuoteDandelionPowderman I like the sound of TIC, including the loud drums. TIC sounds a bit more unpolished, but still lacks the rawness of TIC, imo. keith said in an interview once that when he played it to mick jagger. mick said to him the drums are too loud. before that i never noticed. since he said that i keep noticing.

Quotedcba Quotekeefriffhards the only thing that spoils talk is cheap is the drums are too high in the mix. ... and the production is horribly overdoen! MOffender sounded much better and more natural but alas the songs were not as good.[/quote and i think his voice is better on main offender. but i still play talk is cheap more

But that´s Keith. so they must of over dubbed it for the dvd release They used a part which was played later in the song and pasted it in at the beginning. thats was a good idea. so it kind of makes it ok. it was a recording of that night sort of thing. i wou

QuotePete66 Love the lead vocals by Keith, Mick's harmony/background vocal is beautiful. Don't know why Keith thought it necessary to put yet another background vocal (his own) on it, though. It totally ruins the song for me. Pete. that's a classic quote. i dont like it because keith sings on his own song . sorry but thats funny . dont take offence of course i know what yo

its been a while now since scarf me up. looking back now . accident or intentional. personally i think the first time was a genuine mistake caused by the scarf. but as for the second time, was it sheer defiance and devilment lol maybe all the fuss over it pissed Keith off. so ok right i'm doing it again for the hell of it. that's Keith. i doubt many of the fans noticed that much in

well i like it, but as much as i love most of Keith's ballads, this one kind of feels like it was done in a hurry. he does put it over nice in live shows. he sang it very well in front of 2 million on copacabana beach.

just a thought. does anyone notice that in the early 60's a lot of the screaming girls in the audiences look very young . when you think a lot of them may have been groupies.
