your kind of sitting on the fence there Naturalust. Playing devils advocate again are we . say what you mean. I am sticking my neck out here. when i started posting on iorr it was very upsetting and all the hostility came from long time regular posters. They have heard it all before and are bored with iorr and they are very dismissive of new faces ( people ) I dont include you in this Natural

Do the Stones still sound like the Stones ?? I tell you what they don't sound like. All the young pretenders. All the X Factor crap. All the bands 40 plus years younger than them. They sound like the Stones and that's good enough for me. One Love..

QuoteJTHanis Discussions such as this have labeled "hateful" in the past and led to banning a - we must be careful, I haven't liked it for a long time. There's a show within a show around her that nobody wants. Go over my quotes i don't even mention Lisa's name. I never mentioned her in a personal way. I think she is a lovely woman. We are just expressing that

QuoteDeanGoodman Quoteflacnvinyl I would far rather complain about the stupid hand motions and cheerleading that are done by Lisa and Bernard. Go listen to Brown Sugar from the Fonda gig and hear the "SUGAR!" repeated forever while Ronnie and Keith play aggressively and low in the mix. She acts out a lot of the songs, complete with weird facial expressions, as if translating for deaf

QuoteGarbie Really look forward for the album. I know it is too soon but talking about some potential concerts...where do you think they could be? USA? Europe, specially in the UK? I would love to know Garbie. its likely to be London, New York knowing Keith.

Quoteryanpow QuoteGratefulFred but all you defending ronnies terrible playing are unabel to objectively ludge what you hear, because the fact that ronnie is a has been is not something you want to admit. he is literally the worst guitar player i have ever heard since the 2005 tour. up till b2b he was good Rrrrrrreeallly? Hmmm. Dude its the other way around. you got to be kidding!!!!

2258. Re: Keith
QuoteMaindefender Quote24FPS I saw them in '88, and they were a great rhythm machine. It would be funny if Keith has used the last three years of Stones concerts to finally knock off the rust so he can do a solo tour. Based on what I saw Saturday I wouldn't hesitate a second to see him solo. He's pretty much locked in at the moment!! Don't think Keith used these 3 years t

If you want to hear Gimme Shelter played right, get your tickets for Keef and the wino's when they come on sale. Actually scratch that, they might not have enough tickets left for me

Do you think the reason new people don't stay long on iorr or people that have been here a long time don't post very often because its like an old boys club taken over by about 20 regular posters. I noticed yesterday some of you saying to BV that you think it should be run by a few of you long time posters , like a committee ( heaven forbid ) I don't want some of you on here dec

Not only would it be great news but I get the feeling keeping Keith in good playing shape will bode well for future Stones shows. QuoteJumpinJeppeFlash Quotejumpontopofmebaby The question is why is South America off? Did this last run prove to be too much for them? Obviously their economy is to bad at the moment, they canĀ“t simply afford them. I don't understand the obsession with South Africa. I want to see them again. Cant get to South Africa, too busy. So come to Europe again guys. London, more London show

Quotedmay Saw Keith during both of his solo tours. The Winos were great and rocked like hell. Mucho better than the Stones IMHO. I can only wonder what they can do now since they and we are all 20 plus years on. Another fun part of going to Keith's shows was seeing the Keith wannabes - all the guys done up to look like the rotten teeth death look Keith. Also gotta wonder if there'll be

English reviewers seem to have this weird idea of the Rolling Stones as being this band and we've never been THAT band, but they imagine we are. We can do THAT band if we wanna... I don't see why we can't make a record that doesn't sound like the Rolling Stones. We

Sorry to change the subject. Keith's acoustic on Spanish laddies, the piece Keith played in pirates and again on shine a light. Its one of the most soulful sounds i ever heard. I just wondered if there is anything out there with Keith playing similar, or was it just a one off on Keith's part. He certainly put his stamp on that piece, because it sounds nothing like la Malaguena

Quotejlowe I seem to recall that over 6 months ago Keith inferred that with the current spate of Stones activity, it would mean his solo record would not surface until around September. This is precisely what is happening. The SA tour will happen, no doubt, but will have to wait. I don't buy into the "economic argument" either....plenty of other Acts are doing tours.. Expect SA

Quotekahoosier If the cause is Keith's solo album, then he is basically reversing the stance that he has maintained for years about solo work, and effectively making a mockery of his justification for the great Richards-Jagger war of the 80's. Keith wanted to tour, Jagger wanted to work at his solo career, battle lines were drawn. Keith stated and has maintained in all the years since

QuoteNaturalust With Mick singing, Charlie on drums, Keith playing those instantly recognizable parts they will always sound like the Stones to me. Charlies kind of rushing the beat style provides a foundation for the others that is instantly identifiable. Very much sound like the Stones... What has changed pretty dramatically, imo is that they don't play the songs at lightening speed an
