QuoteElmo Lewis Quotestonesman87 A simple explanation, which some members might have already arrived at: It should be "Creative roles", not "Creative rolls". It got its 15 minutes of fame, had me going for a few moments as well. I think 1963 meant it as "being on a roll, in a zone, etc." Yes, obviously. Referring to periods when they were on a creative r

QuoteTheGreek That one note the guitarist was bending sounds like he was trying to cover a little bit for the missing horn parts that accent the phrases . exactly. It's a great cover, the keyboard player kicks the sh*t out of Chuck but it really misses the horns.

Quotebv If you are upset with the corona virus status in your own country, then you should start looking at what your leaders did back in Jan, Feb, Mar this year. For three months, all 200+ countries across the world had the very same information. Then these 200+ countries all had different ways of dealing with this information. In Norway, where I live, we do now have zero deaths per day and 1

I'm not a fan of Colbert that's all I said. I have no problem with what he said about Keith's performance. I just don't get how Colbert got his job

QuoteBig Al QuoteHairball Colbert "I'm not sure Keith was playing...he was mostly just kind of petting it...petting the guitar". Not a fan Colbert, but that comment was slightly funny! That’s pretty much what I said, too. Caressing, petting, stroking... he was inaudible the whole while Jagger’s guitar was audible, at least. I’m not a fan of this Colbert chap, either. He

(Stern, on Sirius XM) today, a long interview, including the two of them agreeing that although the Stones are great, the Beatles were "better." Paul wondering if he will ever tour again, and passionate words if favor of shutting down the Chinese wet markets.

I went to many concerts in the 60s and 70s. Neither the Vietnam War nor any race riot erupted in the arena. It's a bad analogy Nobody is going to a Stadium in the US until there is a vaccine universally available. So no Stones tour.

Quoterbp Sooner or later the Stones will have to call it quits (given their ages). The Coronavirus pandemic may well be the catalyst for this call. Cannot see any touring in 2020 and believe the tour will eventually be cancelled. Even if Coronavirus is under control in 2021 (which I doubt) world economies will likely be in recession and not conducive to selling out large scale concerts like the

QuoteSend It To me QuoteDREAMTIME I heard that they would like to start with the original Pittsburgh date. Nice![ "I heard"? If this happens it will be because of some kind of unforeseen miracle. The 80 year old Stones, with their medical histories? I think BV is right as always. No tour without a vaccine. Save your stubs from the Miami show last year. It looks like that&#

Good luck with the credit card disputes. as others have said, it won't work. They will take the charge off now and they will put it back on after TM responds to them stating their policy. At that point, the card co. does not act like a judge and decide what is reasonable, they will put the charge back on.

How many Rolling Stones fans are holding tickets that they paid hundreds or thousands of dollars for and are now out or work? (not me, I'm retired and have no tickets). I cannot believe that they will not refund people's money, that they use the small-print expedient of "postponed" rather than "cancelled" in order to make the interest on money they will have to pa

Quotekeefriff99 Quotedcba QuoteNate Europe apparently about to close borders to all foreign travel. Nate Wise decision... coming a month too late. How many lives the EU spirit of indecision will have costed? 10000? We're doing no better in the USA. Zero leadership at the top, but a lot of governors and mayors are stepping up big-time. Actually it's because we have no federal pub

There are literally dozens of sporting events every day in the US with crowds of over 10,000, NHL, NBA, baseball spring training. I'm watching the Phillies play the Yankees in Clearwater on TV, with a sold out stadium, people sitting shoulder to shoulder, not a mask in sight. The baseball season is not going to be cancelled, a couple of hundred thousand people together at the games, eating

Quotemickschix I sure hope the Stones ( Mick for the most part) are reviewing their contracts now and not waiting until April. The news media here in the USA say that they are trying not to alarm people but just by virtue of the fact that there are hourly updates, increases anxiety. This increased anxiety is leading to a dramatic drop in ticket sales and THAT will be the thing that will get this

Quotepowerage78 Given the context and the epidemic that will accelerate in the USA I think the Tour will be postponed or canceled. I think the panic will be over by then. Baseball season starts in 3 weeks and crowds are coming daily to games in Florida. Most of the people who get the virus are told to stay home and they recover. I think things will be OK and the tour will go on. Just my opi

QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteMisterDDDD QuoteCousinC Maybe just a pre-tour business meeting of the band? A new album will eventually come - but I'm not too excited about these Paris rumours. Could be, but coupled with Jaggers low-key "working on new songs" comment, I think this rumor has teeth. Charlie's off the cuff "yeah, where is the new album?" comment made

QuoteSend It To me For what it's worth, I did the AmEx pre-sale in 2015 and actually pulled up worse seats than what popped up when the general on-sale started. Suspect "pre-sale" is a scam. if you think that getting rid of the worst seats to fans who think they are getting a great pre-sale deal, then it's a scam. What you described is always the case. It's always bett

Quotesteffialicia Quote24FPS This is so sad. Rock and Roll is on its last legs. Only the Museum groups are left, playing their Greatest Hits over and over. At higher prices yet. I guess U2 will have been the last relevant rock group. I think you're looking at this in the wrong way. Many of these songs are out and out masterpieces. Would you ever get tired of hearing Bach, Beethoven, etc.

Quotemakemeburnthecandle QuoteRokyfan Wasn't the story about the origin of "Glimmer Twins" -- a rich old lady on a cruise that Mick and keith took for some time off who kept asking them 'Who are you, give me a glimmer?' -- supposed to have been in South America, maybe an Amazon cruise? Not sure, but it seems to ring some bells. Maybe closer to 1969 than Fitzcarraldo? T
