"I suspect the stones have been watched by around 40 million people" Clearly more, buttons67. The number you say is correct, as for the years 1981 - present, But we have to add up attendances from 1962 - 1978, I have seen somewhere, as for the particular period, a total number 10 million. But I can't analyze it, tour by tour. Since 1981, things are much more clear, of course.

The Stones concerts I have attended in 2017 and 2018 were really good and charming, Nikkei. Miles away from being "zombies performances"...

Hmmm.. I don't know. To be honest, the "line" of other song sounds like SFTD in my ears. "Loaded", Primal Scream.

"Primal Scream on the "Give out but don't give up" album (and often afterwards)..." In addition, Palace Revolution 2000, I would say that "Loaded" (1991) sounds like the "line" of SFTD in my ears...

"Their best known songs are about 50 years old..." That's not an argument supporting the "revival" theory, Stoneage. That's simply what happens with ALL famous acts, which were "born" many decades ago. Unless you think that the best known songs of Dylan, Who, Macca, N. Young, Patti Smith and others are coming from 90s or 00s... Also think U2, a much newe

Some of them: Wanna Hold You – Athens 1998, Barcelona 2007 (I know, the song wasn’t exactly rare on B2B tour) Little Red Rooster – Paris and Prague 2003 Neighbours – Prague 2003 Con Le Mie Lacrime – Milan 2006 Ain't Too Proud To Beg – Barcelona 2007 Also 2-3 times “She’ So Cold”, 4 times “She’s A Rainbow”, etc

"Fact is that I am old enough to remember the "autopilot criticism" against the "strolling bones" on wheelchairs...So, fair enough, imo, is to celebrate - in some extent and not being blind - a band of granpas rolling pretty good with no wheelchairs and with heart valves replaced..." Well said, Maumau. Even I would select the expression "really good" (wh

"Ronnie on this tour is amazing!" Testify, I think Ronnie is amazing, overall, on every touring "round" since 2013. Judging, basically, from the gigs I have attend, in Europe.

"Would people prefer a bunch of 2:05-songs to MR, just to have a higher number of songs in the setlist?" Ha... I hope (and believe) that the vast majority would answer "of course not...". You know, Dandelion, I have been IORR's reader many years before I decided to join it. If I remember correctly, there were not many complaints about the Stones "playing only

"That Paul McCartney comparison is just stupid. Look at a Macca concert and at a Stones concert. Mick dances from one corner of the stage to the other for two hours while Paul is just standing on one spot. Of course you can play longer if you just stand on one spot the whole time eye rolling smiley Nothing against Macca but it's absolutely not comparable" Totally agree, StonedR

"The Stones are grizzled, yes. But still great". (Reviewer Keith Spera). That's exactly what I see, attending their gigs, in the years 2014 - 2018. You, guys, can complain (even) because, yesterday, they played 19 songs, witch - if I remember correctly- was the number of 2003 concerts. When they were 16 years younger...

Nikkei wrote: "You can't cancel a show due to slow ticket sales. Who is going to buy your tickets if you do that". Well, that rarely happens, but... it happens. I remember that the Stones canceled (but early) three gigs in France and 1 -2 in Spain, due to slow sales, during B2B tour, which was a very successful tour, overall, of course. I think Football World Cup Tournament (1

TheBlockbuster wrote: "Rocks Off was decent, still not a fantastic version, but better than in Barcelona 2017". I think the version was nice. As for Barcelona 2017, all of us know what happened then. The band had been startled by Keith's rush. The song was web -choice but Keith started playing, before Mick introduced it.

"Bitch", "Monkey Man", "Play With Fire" and "Sweet Virginia", on the same night, ohh, it is something very special , too. And "Sad Sad Sad" with "Dead Flowers" make a nice, unusual combination, IMO.
