Europe was all General Admission, albeit separated to front and back. Lots of people of all ages there, and everyone helpful if someone needed to sit down. In the official "Thank You Europe" clip on rs.com, Mick said: "They give you so much energy. They're so vibrant and alive, that I could feed of that. Just interchanging energy." Guess where that energy stems from??

Great observations. There's a great feeling of elation that comes with playing these immortal riffs. The one thing that stands out most in Keiths playing (to me) is his intuitive syncopatic approach. Playing behind the beat then jumping in front of it. Cutting it off unexpectedly. Stuff that can never quite be imitated, stuff that is never quite the same.

Honestly: I would pull one of my railing jumps if I was in that lower tier!

Thanks, Easterman. That's reasonably fast. I looked at the Twitter votes and Paint It Black seems to lead there, though.

From a european point of view you're right. But on this tour there seemed enough people with the attitude "front row or not at all" and willing to pay $400 for that. So it might add up. We will see as the crowd fills. It seems very few seats for such a vast place as of now.

Not kidding. He didn't spit on purpose but he was practically foaming as he sang. On the B-stage it was very visible because of the lighting. By gorilla suit I meant the robe of sorts he wears for SFTD. On the San Diego thread I posted a video because I also was stunned how casually he just let it go

Shattered isn't exactly overplayed as of late. I voted Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo, but I'd be interested how fast they do Shattered these days.

It's a proper stadium without a home base, still there are large seatless areas in the back. Did the promoter adjust the number of seats to the sales or is this usual?

Having heard the Pittsburg version now I understand why they don't do it that way. While it stays true to the original, there ain't no punch in it and not only the crowd, also the band themselves seem confused.

QuoteJordan There is a different between standing smashed against the people around you, and having space to breathe and sit if you need a rest. I'm 18 and I wouldn't even want to stand through an entire show, If I have seats, I'm sitting for the most part. I can enjoy music just as much sitting down as I can standing up. Oh Boy. Into the upper tier with you!

QuoteNaturalust It would be so sweet however for the Stones to put on an exclusive show just for members of their fan clubs somehow. I'm not sure how it would look or be administered but I know I'd be there and it would be a crowning achievement to their legacy. A true we care statement that would echo around the halls of fandom long after the Stones are gone. A generous statement of gr

Quotekovach I've dreaded seeing some opening acts n the past and ended up a fan. Hall and Oates, Jethro Tull come to mind. You've already paid, might as well give them a chance. Now I'm curious! When has Tull opened for the Stones? (RnR Circus don't count)

I actually consider what EddieByword suggested more likely to actually happen than us pooling together to buy them for a night. If not only we on IORR, but also the Shidoobs and Rocks Off people could somehow approach Ronnie, Keith or Chuck with the idea, they might just convince Mick of the immense publicity value that lies within such a show.

There sure is a sense of entitlement in this. If you don't like him, just don't listen to his set. What's next, a petition against Chuck Leavell appearing on stage?
