Quotekeefriff99 Quoteroryfaninva Heresy! Prepare to be vilified by True Believers! I don't mean to come off like a jerk. I was a Keith worshiper for years...still am in some ways, but it's difficult to fall for his jive and mythology after the facts are right in front of your eyes for so long. You're not coming off as a jerk. But - I don't see anyone looking for or expe

Great shot of Keith. He's got that look in his eye he gets when he's in his element -- on stage & Happy. Come On Mick & Keith -- get the Stones on the road again soon!

Got my copy from Amazon over the weekend. Great book. About halfway through and enjoying it immensely. You really get the feeling of what it was like on those 1965-1970 tours. Great stories that haven't been told before. Thanks so much Ron. I'll post a review on Amazon after I finish it.

I know that it's just Jagger singing to the track, but it really is a great vocal performance & a fun video. Love Mick & Keith's comments and Mick Taylor's smile at the end.

Incredible album - One of the best ever. The whole band is locked in. So much rhythm, power & menace. Yep EVIL Here's an excerpt from Stanley Booth's great book. The True Adventures of the Rolling Stones The big yellow-blue-white spot bleached out Jagger as he came onstage, twirling overhead his Uncle Sam hat, not smiling, gaze fixed on fate. What a great article. I've heard some of this from Jim before in other interviews, but this is priceless. A great historical record - written with humor & charm -- of a great moment in Stones & music history. Thanks Novica & Voja.

An amazingly cool video for so many reasons. - great song/great performance - Brian - Keith's painted black Gibson (which you can see at Exhibitionism - see my pic below) - Charlie's Ludwig drum kit (also at Exhibitionism -- ) - the Stones updating and evolving their look & sound on the cusp of another great era (which sadly, did not and most likely could not include Brian, eve

So sad. Beautiful voice, great musician. I'm not a huge fan of progressive rock (for me it sometimes gets too technical and loses the human touch), but I always loved John's work. I know he's done much, much more, but I loved this performance and thought his vocal and the rest of the band found the sweet spot of great playing and great feeling on a simple song about a broken

Does anyone know if the Maysles Brothers shot any of the actual recording of Brown Sugar, Wild Horses or You Gotta Move at Muscle Shoals? I know the footage from Gimme Shelter that shows them listening to the playback. But is there any footage of them laying down the tracks? Do any photos exist? I know their visas didn't allow them to record in the US in 1969 so that probably explains

QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteIdorh I'm 69 years old, and stones fan off 1963. I was 15 years old. Now with this album blue and lonely I'm 15 again hahaha. Great album, and swinging drums from Watts, and driving guitars plus fantastic harmonica and voice of Mick Jagger. Sorry for my bad english, my Dutch is already bad. The blues is back. Great review, great english I agree. Good w

Quotekeefriff99 QuoteKoen What on earth is that music? Seriously. What in the absolute @#$%&? Did they have some copyright issue regarding their music being used even as a background bed?? That was ridiculous. Must have been a music rights issue for the online version. Here in the US they used actual Stones music for some of the background tracks on the live broadcast version.
