Just putting a new record out and announcing a tour seem like a tall order, and now you want them to rearrange their performance catalogue?

Quoteribbelchips The Stones don't owe us anything, but on the other hand.. For decades, we as fans were used to the fact that every fart Mick or Keith let, it became a headline. Photographers lay behind every bush and journalist had te write Stones-related news on a weekly basis... But those days are long over. And now they hardly even write about the band or it's members anymore in

Thanks for the reports, photos, and links. Sounds like a fantastic event for a worthwhile cause. Considering that James was in critical condition as recently as last Thanksgiving following hip replacement surgery, this must have been a very special performance: Good on all the participants!

He’s on the hugely influential Byrds’ Sweetheart Of The Rodeo LP, played in Stephen Stills Manassas, and was a mainstay in Elvis’ TCB Band. Sounds like a great night of music.

Never cared much for his acting. Trashing his marriage to Maria Shriver by having an affair with his housekeeper was so cliche.

Gary Clark Jr. looks like he’s a foot taller than everyone else in that photo. The one of Ronnie and Rod nose to nose is good. Every picture tells a story, don’t it?

Gasoline Alley may be even better than either. Since the other two have such heavily played tracks, it sounds fresher to my ears.

Dolly's just having fun with the whole "Rock" thing. Remember that when she first got nominated for this year's class of Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductees, she asked to be removed from the list as she had never recorded a Rock album. She was convinced to change her mind about being considered, and gained the votes to be inducted, so now she's delivering a Rock albu

Not sure if this will affect the Stones’ tour plans, as things seem to be pointed towards something happening at the end of this year or early next year, but the NFL will be releasing it’s 2023 schedule today, with a handful of dates already announced. This should help create a clearer picture of when stadiums will be available for shows:

Lots of pomp and circumstance. It is nice to see Westminster Abbey all resplendent and everyone dressed to the nines, even if it does all feel a little silly.

Are those folks actually performing, or is that just the list of artists from the playlist Charles picked. The only performers I’ve seen listed are Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Bryn Terfel. It all sounds rather cringeworthy to me.

Sorry to hear that Dave and Terry have hung up their gloves. A quick check of their Wikipedia bios has Terry (currently 75) retired since 2007, and Dave (now 79) retired since 2017. They're both Welshmen. They all certainly kept busy after Rockpile dissolved. I've seen Nick, both with Bill Kirchen, and with Los Straitjackets backing him. Great shows each time. Dave had a very ac

With their proper albums and all the defacto recordings that were released as Dave Edmunds or Nick Lowe solo projects but were in fact Rockpile songs, they created a great body of work. They seem one of the most overlooked bands. Dave, Nick, Billy Bremner, and Terry Williams are all still living, yet they are rarely mentioned when discussions of bands people would like to see reunite come up.

Like Rolling Stone magazine, it’s all become a sad joke, a pallid and shallow facsimile of its’ original mission.

Gordon did indeed leave us with a deep catalog of memorable tunes. While I knew of him as a kid listening to American Top 40 radio where his hits Sundown and The Wreck Of The Edmund Fitzgerald received heavy play, it was in the early 1990’s when I started to explore Bluegrass music, particularly the legendary guitarist/vocalist Tony Rice, when I started diving deeper into the Lightfoot songbook.

It would be very cool to see the Stones perform this live. They’ve never done it. I saw Alvin Youngblood Hart play it a few years ago in New Orleans at Chickie Wah Wah’s, and it was mesmerizing.

Tough luck, but I’m confident they’ll figure something out. The Stones live for performance, and have the fan base and capital to practically do as they wish, health providing. Thanks for keeping us posted!
