Thank you everyone else for the kind and encouraging words. I know it's a high hope but my goal is making a trip to Europe this summer and catching hopefully the last show on a possible tour.

QuoteIrix Quotejazzbass Does anyone know what type of cancer he had? Charlie: "I had two operations and radio therapy, which is the way to do it. I had a lump on my throat, which I'd had for a couple of years. I went to see, actually, Mick's throat guy. I went to see the best man in the world: Peter Rhys Evans, who's a surgeon and throat man. They looked, and it was ben

Quote24FPS Best of wishes for your health. I had throat cancer from HPV. (You're welcome, ladies). The cancer itself wasn't so bad, tonsil area, but the treatment was barbarous, and the recovery long. I also think it aged me. I was definitely another person on the other side of it. It's just been five years so I'm considered 'cured', but I live with the suspicion it

Does anyone know what type of cancer Charlie had? As a person also fighting throat cancer, he has been quite an inspiration. Was wondering if his treatment was similar to mine? Throat cancer often can be quite curable but the treatment is one of the most brutal of all cancers. Gives me much hope that he went on to live many more years and tours, living his best life.

I'll be spending a lot of time in my car over the next several months. I love spending my time driving listening to Stones audio books. I've already completed Life and am almost finished with Under Their Thumb. Really enjoyed them both. I'm looking for some recommendations for some more really good Stones related audio books. I prefer in depth reporting of behind the scenes stuf

Glad to hear he's still there. Great dude. Was fortunate enough to get a private pre-show tour of the stage by him in Warsaw a few years ago.

Anyone know anything about a "VIP Platinum Pit"? Supposedly a separate more exclusive pit right against the rail along the catwalk. I have an opportunity to purchase this (at substantial cost). Supposedly there is room to roam in this area, much less people, etc. Is this better than Pit 2 (Which I already have)?

Every tour, the Johnny-come-latelys start pounding their chest about lackluster ticket sales and half-empty stadiums. For whatever reason they, are always wrong, and they will be again this time. Visually, every venue will be 90% full. AT a minimum. Charlie gave his blessing knowing what was coming. This was the plan along and he wanted it for the Stones. Get the f over yourself if you believ

Anyone think there is any chance the Stones New Orleans gig gets shifted to the Super Dome? The Saints are away the week before and have a bye week, the following weekend, leaving lots of time for set up and tear down of the stage. As of yet, the governor of Louisiana has not canceled (or restricted fan attendance to) any NFL games at the SuperDome.

Not sure if this has come up yet, but in Austin, the Pits 1 & 2 are labeled in reverse compared to every other show on every leg of the No Filter tour up till this point. So, is this just a web site labeling error or is this the actual set up for this show? I want to be on "Keith side" as always, and am hesitant to get Pit 1 tickets for fear it is a mislabeling situation.

My wife is looking for x-mas gift ideas and I'd like to get an early or original pressing of Exile. Can someone please tell me which is the most desirable for sound and / or collectability pressing? COC number please. Not looking to spend a fortune. Really just looking for a VG to Excellent very early copy. Thanks.

Quotebye bye johnny Quotejazzbass I just can't see Charlie participating in something like this. "Whether the group intends to perform together, remotely, via some kind of Zoom-like arrangement was not disclosed. But the Stones’ core quartet of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood will all be taking part, a Global Citizen spokesperson confirmed." Proba

I just can't see Charlie participating in something like this. Like he's going to want some 20 year old nerd setting up a Zoom session in his living room. "F*ck off" will be his response.

QuoteIrix Quotejazzbass For some reason I can no longer embed images in the post. Because the link to the picture isn't correct - it must end with the file extension (e.g. *.jpg or *.png): - In case of doubt do right-click/tap in Imgur on the uploaded picture, copy the link to the picture and insert it here on IORR. Great! Thank you.

QuotePromoman2 Did you get a message from Eagle Rock? I have a lot of self shot vids on there as well. At some point Eagle Rock annouced they would take down the Hide Park vids as they had plans to bring out the DVD. I hope this is a similar case. Would be a shame if they take it all down. Yes. Click on the link in my OP. For some reason I can no longer embed images in the post.

I've had dozens of self shot Stones videos posted on my Youtube channel for years from various concerts I've attended. I've had many copyright claims but every time, they just want to monetize the video and allow it to continue to be shown on Youtube. Today for the first time I received a copyright claim for a video I've had posted for nearly 5 years. This time they are bl

I just loved the version of 'Out of Time' used in Tarantino's latest film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. When I first heard it, I thought, that's definitely the Stones, but man, that has got to be the most un-Stones sounding Stones tune ever. (I have owned 'Metamorphosis' for years, but nowadays the only song I usually play off of it is 'Family'.) So for th
