it was originally released in QUAD and then mashed down to stereo when I saw it in 81 before the stones played in chicago that year..midnight shows on a double bill with Let There be Rock AC/DC.... the songs that are too fast are ALL OF EM since the whole show is sped up. Sometime I will try to move the audio rip I have down to proper pitch but that is a slow and dull process.

it is also a half step fast which is very annoying if one wishes to play along on guitar or what have you......

I saw him a while back and he was better frail and sounded like it....he sounded stronger on Letterman but no where near his peak....the other issue for long time fans is the rather dull set list...Beckola has been over working the live material as well. He is a big reason I play guitar (along with Muddy n Keith!!!!)

they are all color in the paint box kids....nothing more. I changing tunings to serve the music and I assume all good musicians are about the sounds and not just making poses and pulled girlies

I still find it a bit odd that he does it that way. I use that tuning but I like to have the low octave D.....many old blues songs have lines which require that string. I understand how it might rattle on an electric however I can damp that out very easily now. anyway....

EW played with Zappa and was in the Tonight Show band when Johnny Carson had the show..he is a great musician.. I read somewhere that Sonny Rollins was offered the spot but while he liked the money offered he did not want to become the "jazz featurette."

I can hear the difference between a low sampled mp3 and a full flac rip of an lp.....I did hearing tests with some friends and all the musicians (I play music) could hearth difference quickly. If the sample rates are higher I MIGHT not have I suppose. I use mp3 for mobile and FLACs at home.

Generally, Flac is higher resolution than mp3. one might need to find a player (like vlc) to hear the FLAC files.
