My first Rolling Stones concert also happened to be my first concert of any kind. It was Friday, November 7, 1969. I was an 18 year old freshman at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. The Stones show was the first scheduled date of the 1969 tour, and was presented at the CSU Moby Auditorium, known as Moby Gym. The ticket cost $7. BB King was the opening act. It

Quotenick1970 Has the emotional rescue album got any redeeming features, or is it merely disappointing?? IN NO WAY WAS THE ALBUM DISAPPOINTING AT THE TIME OF IT'S RELEASE. IN THE NEW YORK METROPOLITAN AREA IT WAS LOVED BY VIRTUALLY ALL OF THE TEEN AND 20 YEAR OLDS THAT I KNEW AT THE TIME. PEOPLE WHO DO NOT LIKE THE ALBUM, DO NOT HAVE A CLUE, AND THEIR LEVEL OF EXPERIENCE IS VERY LIM

Rolling Stones: Nov 7, 1969, Fort Collins, Colorardo: $4.50 . When $4.50 is put into an inflation calculator and projected from 1969 to 2019, the results show that in today's dollars it would be equal to $30.50 .

QuoteStoneage This Mr Jagger on and on... It's Sir Michael. No longer a Mister. And if you don't like titles: just say Michael or Mick. Ps. I have a question for an English person: Is Jagger a CBE or a KBE? I always thought he was a CBE but someone whispered KBE... Can't find it on the net... Right...a hip band... and A cornball name. It always was, and always will be, MIC

Here is a post found on The Data Lounge Forum, posted by Anonymous: "" Despite panic from fans about the long-term health of the rock star, sources have confirmed to The Telegraph that Jagger is in perfectly good health, but has in fact only injured himself after training for shows. A source close to Jagger, who follows a strict diet and exercise regime, said: “It’s not a mystery

I don't have any experience with seeing The Rolling Stones with Prince as an opening act, but I do know that I have been a Rolling Stones fan since 1969, and a Prince fan since 1978. After reading this about the "throwing stuff"; all I know is that there must be a lot of jerks amongst Rolling Stones fans in the USA.

I was lucky to have been able to attend this concert. I would rate it as my second best Rolling Stones concert, the first being at Denver Coliseum, Friday, June 16, 1972. My viewing position was at the left corner of the stage about 30 people deep into the crowd, on the field. I am going to view that video again in the remote possibility of getting to see what I looked like in those days, a

Quotegotdablouse "Fun" Stones at their best, you can understand why the fans who'd experienced the 68/72 years first hand were (and still are) completely appalled though ;-) I experienced 1968 to 1972 first hand, and was never appalled by this song or the album Emotional Rescue, nor was anyone that I knew at the time. In my opinion, the era of 1978 to 1981 was almost as great

I never liked her or any of the other "background singers" that resided at the left rear of the stage. It has always been my belief that Keith Richards should be the ONLY other singer besides Mick Jagger in The Rolling Stones. When Keith ceased most, if not all background vocals, is when they took a major nose dive as a band.

The Doors The Faces (with Rod) This was more of a difficult question than I thought at first. After looking through my collection-list of 509 albums, I couldn't come up with much, however 20% of that is blues, and another 20% is traditional country. However, I might add to the above two: Bob Dylan Neil Young The Beatles

I was not aware of there being more than one version of "Midnight Rambler" on the "Let It Bleed" Album. To be more clear, the version that I am talking about is found on the vinyl edition of the album "Let It Bleed" that was released on December 5th of 1969.

Not Much ! Several concerts 1969 to 1981: about US$100 Most of the albums up to 1981 + Steel Wheels: about US$250 TOTAL: about US$350 Note: When US$350 is run through an online inflation calculator for those years, the total comes out at about US$1600. Still not much.

Shortest show: Denver Colliseum, Denver, Colorado, USA, Friday, June 16, 1972: About 1 hour, maybe a little more. However, this show was by far the greatest concert of my lifetime, so the number of songs has nothing to do with the quality of the show. Cheapest show: Moby Gym Arena, Fort Collins Colorado, USA, Friday, Nov 7, 1969: Cost about US$6 per ticket, IF I remember correctly.

Before you invest in super sound quality equipment, files, etc, or new technology promising better sound, it would be a good idea to have your hearing checked, especially if your are over 50, so as to determine whether or not your ears are even capable of discerning the difference between lower quality sound and higher quality sound. In my case, my ears cannot tell the difference between a 196

Quotecharlesbaudelaire How about a second lp that features only the Gram Parsons vocals? I've burned my own copy on cd-r using the bonus tracks from the deluxe edition. Now that's the way I love to listen to this album. Charles Baudelaire 1821-1869 Likewise; I made my own "Sweetheart of the Rodeo" with the original versions, with Gram Parsons' vocals, which was th

I think they'll be missing a very important ingredient: Gram Parsons. The whole album was Gram's idea, and The Byrds were the back-up band. It could have been any back-up band. Nevertheless, it should be interesting.

I am really glad that virtually every time that I ever saw The Rolling Stones play live, it was with Ian Stewart playing a real piano, save for one time, when it was Nicky Hopkins playing a real piano. I guess, you say, that means I haven't seen them play lately. And that is true. I really don't buy their 25-year non-stop greed-tour (with a fake piano).
