I wish people on this forum would quit posting links that do not work for EVERYBODY! Some people refuse to have anything to do with the likes of Facebook and Instagram, are NOT members, and therefore are being blocked from opening and viewing such links!

Please cut the "Sir Michael" crap! (above) This is a Rolling Stones forum! It is Mick; Mick Jagger! As far as Trump using the music, he should be sued to no end!

Someone is going to make some money on that one. I also would have thought that they would have gone for more. I always liked them, especially when they were first released, back when.

Mick's list: very interesting. He really is getting antsy I guess, with the release of such stuff as this list, and the video showing him doing chores. =================================================== For those above with questions about putting Spotify files onto an "ipod", etc: Some years ago I spent a couple of months putting 507 albums onto a micro-SD card for my

I would love to know how much they have made off of that song (after releasing and re-releasing it virtually 100's of times over the course of 55 years. The song in my opinion has become a bit tiring.

RIP Little Richard. I have been a fan of Little Richard since 1970 when a mystery person left a dozen obscure vinyl records on my doorstep. At least obscure for a 19 year old. One of the records was "EVERY HOUR WITH LITTLE RICHARD". This record was recorded in Atlanta, Georgia in 1951 and 1952, and according to the back of record cover, it claims that this is the v

I have been a huge fan of Johnny Winter for at least 40+ years. In the late 1970's he was doing New York State and New York City a lot. I saw him twice at a night club outside of Newburgh, NY on Route 9W in 1978, and I saw him live in Central Park in NYC in either 1979 or 1980. Fantastic! I also saw him when he played one of the piers on the Hudson in NYC. Not sure of the year on t

Quotestargroover This is gonna hurt,it was a ROLEX sea dweller Just took a 5 second peak on eBay USA and the first 4 that came up were about $9,000, $12,000, $13,000, and $6,000. Wow ! I wear an Omega Seamaster, in the house only, and now I am thinking I should get the strap pins and lug pins checked. I once lost a $200 watch and I believe a strap or lug pin failure was the reason.

Quoteduke richardson Emotional Rescue is underated.. isn't it..? Yes, on this forum, it is underrated. Why, I don't know. In reality, at the time of it's release, with the youth of that time (age 15-30), it was incredibly popular. And it has always been one of my top 7 Stones albums.

I was under the impression Keith was really into watches; had been known in the past to actually wear one on each wrist; and once got himself out of a predicament when he was in a broken down speedboat by paying the boat owner who towed him to shore by giving the owner his gold Rolex. However, it is true he never wears a watch on stage. I do not know why on that one.

The best guitar that you can buy for under US$1000 is supposed to be the Seagull S6 Original, made by Godin Guitars in La Patrie, Quebec, Canada. No need to buy a Chinese guitar. I would suggest that you research the subject. The Seagull S6 Original lists on the manufacturer webpage for $545, but Amazon USA has them for $449. When I bought mine, my research turned up that it was either the

QuoteAquamarine To be honest, if you were at shows back in the 60s and 70s, you probably have no memory of the comparative sound quality. I don’t, anyway, though I remember a bunch of other stuff! I was blessed with a long, accurate, and vivid memory, and remembering the sound quality of shows in the 60s and 70s is very easy for me. Don't assume that everyone is dim.

• In 1984 I played a Stones Live recording, which I got off of WNEW-FM, on cassette, in my car, to a friend, and his comment was, "It's so bad that it's good". • Another friend commented recently, "The Stones have a tinny sound; not that that is bad, it's just tinny". • After playing the video "Rolling Stones Bridges to Babylon 1998", which was

In my experience sound at stadiums sucked then and now. As for all the other venues, it depended on the acoustics of the particular room, ranging from terrible to incredible. Also the position of your seats made a big difference. But generally speaking, no great advancements have been made over time, and the sound follows the general rule I stated above. (in my opinion) Examples: 1. Rolli

Of the 24 Rolling Stones albums I have considered worthy enough to put on my MP3 player, I have only 3 of their live albums, "Get Yer Ya Ya's Out!", "Brussels Affair (Live 1973)", and "Still Life". The reason is that after listening to various and sundry Rolling Stones Live material for a period of more than 48 years, what is available has become extremely r

Three things over a two year period made me into a Stones fan: 1. My first Stones concert: Nov 7, 1969 2. Listening to "Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out!" and "Sticky Fingers" in 1970 and 1971 3. The influence of Nick, a travel companion, as we hitch-hiked North America from Aug 1971 to Oct 1971
