Someone went to the trouble of posting the studios each song was done in. How about the dates? To me that is more important. Either dates written, dates recorded, or both.

I don't have the room to be fooling with flacs, and I was hearing tested, and the results showed that I cannot tell the difference between a bitrate of 192, and anything higher than that, probably due to my age, which is over 70. Still, it would be nice to know the bitrate of these mp3 files, as provided in the original download link at the beginning of this thread. I tried to

I don't really get the title of this thread. And what is the title of the download? There's nothing difficult about "Fully Finished Studio Outtakes", but what is the "On Hot Stuff" part? "Hot Stuff" is a song.

I attended a show in each of the US/American tours: 1969, 1972, 1975, and 1981. I remember Ian Stewart in the 1975 and 1981 tour shows, however my online research says he played the 1969 tour, and 1972 tour on a few songs in some shows. As for 1969, too many years have passed, and I do not remember whether or not I saw him. In 1972, I definitely remember Nicky Hopkins, but do not re

It'll be a high of 66º F. and a low of 43º F. today at my location in North America. That's a high of 18.890º C. and a low of 6.110º C.

I became a Rolling Stones fan on Novermber 7, 1969. I have now been a Rolling Stones fan for 51 years, 2 months, and 5 days, (as of January 12, 2021). I am 51 in Stones Fan Years.

Emotional Rescue was NOT ranked at the top! It was ranked at the bottom. Their list goes from worst to best. It seems some people are confused here. ============================================ However, I stick by my previous post, above, that this review is BS. And speaking of Emotional Rescue; I find myself listening to that album more than Let It Bleed, Sticky Fingers,

I daresay, I bunch of BS! I am in almost total disagreement with their assessment. At least with Rolling Stone Magazine's music reviews, I can 80% agree with. Furthermore, I have never even heard of Classic Rock Magazine.

I was 29 at the time and listening to WNEW FM out of New York City when I heard DJ Vince Scelsa announce the news. I believe that I have a cassette tape of that announcement, that I set rolling within one minute of the beginning of it.

Quoteglimmertwin1 We all get old(er) and our hearing worse all the time. I can tell 128 / s mp3s still -> they are very bad. 16bit / 44kHz <-> HighDefinition / the second a tad better for sure - you will need a very good Stereo. I would agree that 128 kbps sounds poor. I could tell the difference between 128 and 192, but I could not tell the difference above 192 kbps.

And the frequencies of music that can be heard by the human ear diminish drastically with age. If you are over 50 it is probably a waste of money to even think about Blu ray. If you are 20, then it is another story. As an example, I took a test to see what bit rate of mp3 I was able to hear, and I could not tell the difference between 196 kbps and Flac. So all the files on my mp3 player are 1

"American Beauty" and "Workingman's Dead" are the 2 Grateful Dead albums that I have on my mp3 player, although I have a few other 1970s albums on vinyl also. I also have a live concert I got off of a Dead webpage. Apparently they recorded most of their concerts and they are now on a webpage for free download. I attended the concert at Berkeley Community Thea

QuoteChester QuoteRonnierocks I only knew a couple of songs in advance from "born to run". I was only 16 and would and see pretty much everything at that venue. When I see Bruce live now, I always think he looks better than when he played Hammersmith Odeon in 1975. He might look better now, but he damn sure doesn't play better now. That Hammersmith recording might be the best

Although not "modern era", I saw them at the Denver Coliseum in 1972, and they only played for just over 1 hour, as I remember it. One of the shortest shows by any band that I ever saw. However, the show remains the premier concert of my lifetime.

"Still Life" is a great live album, and is the only live album in my collection other than "Get Yer Ya Yas Out" and "Brussels Affair". What really makes the album is the inclusion of a little diversity (for a change), with the two covers: "Twenty Flight Rock" and "Going To A Go-Go". Yeah, Yeah...I've heard the statement that &qu

I have been doing that for years, all the way from the days of cassette tapes up to the days of MP3's. Invariably, "my Stones albums" are usually better than any compilation that you can buy. (in my opinion) My latest one is what I thought were unreleased bootlegs, along with some Voodoo Lounge cuts thrown in, and other miscellaneous stuff, but I am finding out tha

1. "Stewed and Keefed": instrumental. Note: I just researched this one and it says it was released on the album "Genuine Black Box 1961-1974", which I never heard of. Oh well. 2. So here's another favorite one: "Bob Wills Is Still The King": Live, 2006, at Austin Texas, and written by Waylon Jennings.
