the war between mick and keith did prevent them from touring for 7 years and produced dirtywork but in the long run it benefited the band as they did get their act together and reinvented the new era which most call the vegas era.

a brand name will always have the power to sell because people want to imagine they are getting what they really want even if they are getting a watered down version of band who are well past their peak with few original members. i would have loved to have went to a pink floyd concert without roger if that was all that was on offer, but given a choice i would most want to see pink floyd wit

i got right into early floyd last year, still dont dig the later stuff as much, and to me a pink floyd without roger isnt quite the same, the pre dark side of the moon era is classic floyd, so underrated, ive started collecting the records and cd,s, hope to get the early years, the later years eventually and all the live stuff, including the immersion editions of some of the middle era albums. i

in the early days they covered other peoples songs anyway, they could still do that, dosent have to be the blues, there are other stuff they could do, i dont have a problem with outside songwriters as long as the songs are not credited to jagger/richards theres no problem, give the writing credits to whoever wrote the songs, but is there really a point, not as if they will tour all these songs an

i love the guitar weaving in the singer not the song, its one of those many early tunes which sounds so different from anything else they made at the time.

obviously good songs became more sparse after tattoo you, im glad they didnt quit after exile or steel wheels, cos if you combine the 4 best songs from each album you still have a lot of good songs, i do however hope they dont go on too long, would love another album of new stuff, some more touring, and more vaults, outtakes, alternate versions, live stuff from the past etc, but really hope they

we should be happy we live in the youtube age, where we get what we want now and can change within seconds, compared to when i grew up in the 80,s and had to save to buy an lp or vhs video. no pressing buttons and getting choices from hundreds of concerts or promo videos of many bands. hopefully with this youtube age people can always learn more about musics golden age and its up to us older one

sadly my kids generation dont have the same notion for going back a generation to discover real great music, but if they did they could carry the torch just a little bit longer. its up to us to pester them into understanding the best music ever was recorded between the mid 60,s and the mid 80,s. personally i think what came out of the time period 1966-69 was the creative force and inspiration beh

while always updating my cd and dvd collection and having come to a long standing conclusion that not only is it expensive as a stones fan but also a journey i might never conclude especially due to the fact the stones are always releasing something from the vaults in various formats and that they have a very complicated discography, but its an aim im going to stick with anyway. but recently

having watched these 3 concerts several times in the last 2 years on youtube, i would compare it favourably to many official releases of the stones regarding dvd and cd format. just wondering if these or others from the same tour will get the official deluxe release as we have seen recently and in the past with bridges to bremen, voodoo lounge and sticky fingers in concert, as well as no secu

i never understood why concorde was not fuel efficient compared to aircraft which flew lower, and slower in airspace which gave a plane more drag, that is why concorde never became the plane it was designed to be, it was an engineering marvel but a commercial disaster in the long run, should never had been scrapped though.

ive nothing against disco, brought up with it in the 70,s was always in the charts, liked some of it and hated others, stones done it well and while im not a big fan of miss you or emotional rescue i dig them for releasing this stuff cos a lot of people do like these songs. strange how the stones seemed to get dissed for going off the rock and roll track. its the variety and versatility that
