Quotetriceratops QuoteHairball Clapton's "disastrous" vaccine story is making the rounds just about everywhere. Certainly won't help convince those who are hesitant to take the vaccine, and the ant-vaxxers will use it as another weapon in their conspiracy theories. No vaxxx for me, especially after Eric Clapton. Well, the dinosaur (simple) thinking isn't surprising..

It's hard for me to pick a "peak", so I'm left thinking more about....at what point did I start to notice his voice even remotely dipping and then go backward from there.....so under that metric....I'd say he was pretty fantastic from '62 to '97 (studio) with '81-83' perhaps being a "peak" with '16 'Blue and Lonesome' being an

My completist, buy everything that comes out mode of operation was first cracked with the release of "Live Licks", which I still can't bring myself to buy due to the awful editing. Then the "Rarities 1971-2003" CD for the bs removal of Wyman from the photo. Next it was the 'Shine a Light' and 'Ladies and Gentlemen' soundtracks (figured I have the films

I suspect "American football season" isn't the problem. They've done fall stadium shows many times over the years ('94, '97, '05, '06, etc.) Outside of COVID questions and uncertainties, it seems to be more about whether they'd want to be playing outside in the fall in the US at this point in their lives. Chicago '06 was quite cold even by Chicago

QuoteDandelionPowderman I don't think anyone in their right mind would call this "sounding tired" Good lord, call me a biased Stones fan but I would rather see/hear this every day and twice on Sunday than the Skynyrd set. That last few minutes of' Free Bird' just makes my ears/eyes glaze over. Fast frenzied guitar slashing just doesn't move me like those

Quotenoughties QuoteIrix The Book: "Never a Dull Moment: 1971 The Year That Rock Exploded" by David Hepworth - . I`d rather connect that picture to 1972 than 1971. Stricktly speaking it`s from Nelcote where the 1972 album "Exile on Main Street" was recorded. "Strictly speaking", Nellcote recordings were in 1971.

QuoteMisterDDDD Very nice.. excellent even. Not sure how much of the anti mask nonsense is on the double album this one is being released on. Definitely would keep me from picking one up, This is great though. *edit Great title song as well. Shame the controversial stuff is on there, will impact sales etc, and as the title song speaks to, it mattering to him. "The double alb

Quotetreaclefingers Quotefloodonthepage QuoteErik_Snow I find this session somewhat pale. Nice at first listen, but then it dies off, it's too slick and business-like. Like a catwalk of the blues. The Wandering Spirit album has a lot more pathos and power. Yes, this is it in a nutshell, and why I sold the Red Devils boot years ago. Over time it seemed to me like clinical blues. Plus, let

I've never paid for a stand-alone autograph, per se....but I have paid for autographed CDs, Books, etc...Bill Wyman's recent book being one of them....so I guess technically that's paying for an autograph, but I think of it more as a bonus attached to the thing I already wanted

I have the Rock of Ages release, but I never bought the Academy of Music release. It's the same shows, I think....right? If you have both, how would you compare them. I really like Rock of Ages, so I'm guessing the more recent AoM edition is pretty damn solid as well.

It sounds fine. I won't be buying it, but it's fun to hear. Good energy. I didn't buy 'Gotta Get a Grip/England Lost' either. I guess this is all eroding at my "completist" status, but I guess the first crack in that title was when I sold "Superheavy" and "Goddess in the Doorway". Speaking of 'Ruthless People' (GasLight) that re

At the time, I was very excited about the release of Voodoo Lounge. Having just become a fan in 1989, Voodoo Lounge was the first album I bought on the day it was released. I think I bought Flashpoint a few weeks after its release. For years I'd say my least played Stones album has been Dirty Work or Their Satanic Majesties Request. Now, it's probably Voodoo Lounge. VL does

Quoteplusplusjames Had It With You was the best track on DW. Eliza and Memphis would have added a lot. Just my 2¢... Yeah, "Had it With You" is one of the few songs I really like on DW, I don't understand the dislike of that one. Great guitars, vocals/harp, drum crash at the end. A basic Stones rocker. What's not to like? Eliza, Deep Love and What Am I Gonna Do With

Sweet, thanks! I should have just checked those lists. I'm still the dinosaur who gravitates toward physical CDs and such...but this is a good exercise in adaptation and evolution And of course it saves money to just buy a case of CD-Rs.
