I think the reality is that if the Stones didn't charge that price and they capped out at $300, scalpers would have purchased huge quantities of tickets, doubled or tripled the price and many fans would have paid the same prices being asked by the band......but some unaffiliated middleman ticket broker gets rich. So, if this means the band gets a bigger take of what the fans ultimately pays,

Of course it isn't impossible, and given their lengthy career what better way to cap it off? Also, as human beings we all need goals.....something to strive for.....and for them, IMO, this privides that. I think what is going on is fairly obvious. Time is being placed between the 50th anniversary shows and any tour. The Stones will record a new album....hence Mick's comment that April is "too soon." They likely will record in the spring and go out on the road in the latter half of 2013 like they have so many times before. No Mick Taylor and back to business as usual......set list i
