Quotetatters I like the version with all the yelping at the beginning. Kinda reminds me of the "Hey, Hey, You, You" in GOMC. Wow. I've never seen this one! Where is this from? Maybe the same taping that produced the "JJF with makeup" video? I seem to remember reading that they did a couple of different takes on that day.

Mac is taking a solo trip around the States and is going to be in my neck o' the woods on July 4th...but I cannot find any information about what time he's playing. I've searched online and emailed the sponsors with no luck. Apparently there's music on 5 stages, but the acts and showtimes are a closely guarded secret. Any Chicago/Milwaukee fans know anything about his gig at

Quotetriceratops Obviously the love of money is greater than the hate. Look at the poor Kinks. Kinks could make some good koin if they went out and toured because the world has been without fresh live Kinks for 20 years. There is pent up demand. But in this case the hate is greater than the love of money. The hatred beteween the Davies brothers. They better do it soon because their tour value dec

I got my first copy of Ya Yas as a Christmas present from my mom in 1970. All these years later I still get goose-bumps listening to it, especially the build-up on Side 2 to a pummelling version of SFM. Holy crap. So cool I can hardly stand it.

The ending of JJF on the "Ladies and Gentlemen" DVD. They shot four shows over two days, and THAT'S the one they put out?!

One of my least favorite Stones tracks. This song just never clicked with me--there's nothing there that makes me want to listen to it. I like it even less when they do it live. I did, however, see the Sullivan show when Jagger rolled his eyes at the camera singing "let's spend some time together." That's my story.

I hear he's already working on the follow-up: "Stained Cardigan."

Like a lot of us here, this would be my dream Stones show. But it'll never happen because it's just too much work for the band to (re)learn the deep cuts. I just don't think they have it in them to really challenge themselves. When Mick quashed the rumor about playing Cochella he said something like, "That's in April isn't it? We'd never be ready by April."

Sunrise on the Sufferbus is top-notch! I saw Masters of Reality when they played a club in Milwaukee about the time this album came out. I got there early and got a seat right in front of the stage. Just watching Baker from that vantage point was worth the price of admission. Even the obligatory drum solo was tasteful and, somehow, melodic. Baker had a guy (probably his drum tech) crouching behin

YGMR is one of my fav songs from the Vegas era, and miles better than having to suffer through SMU for the bajillionth time. But I thought JJF sounded plodding and tired. The slower tempo robs it of all the womp and kick and...just plain nastiness.

Somewhere I'd heard or read that part of the lyrics ("I'll stick my knife right down your throat baby, and it hurts") were taken from the confession of Albert de Salvo after his arrest. Anyone else hear this?

Quoterunaway Don't know if it already happened on the first O2 Show but it would be great to see the Portraits of BJ and IS shining on the Second O2 Show while the RS play one of the Sixties Rocksongs... This is a great idea. How hard would it be to show some pics of Stu and Brian on the video screen?

After years of hearing about this, it was great to finally see it! Does anyone know why it was presented full-frame? I was under the impression that it was originally shot as a feature film and, briefly, shown in some theatres. Wouldn't that call for a widescreen print?

On Election Day one of the national news programs was asking people who had just voted "What song was going through your head when you were in the voting booth." (Who the hell sings to themselves when they're voting??) Anyway, most of the people had the expected answers: God Bless America, Star Spangled Banner, etc. But two of the 6 or 7 were thinking "Born in the USA." O

I saw the Rhythm Kings in Milwaukee in 2001, so Bill was not only in the States but, apparently, not nervous about flying at that time--though I suppose he could've taken the boat over. A great show, by the way. Wish there were more.

Rosemont Horizon, 25 November. The opening was cool, with the stage revolving as the band got into 'Under My Thumb.' Honestly, don't remember too much else about this show. I think Mick was at his lamest during this tour--the football pants, and all that.

Camp Randall Stadium, Madison WI 26 August 1994. Without a doubt, my favorite Stones show (my 4th time seeing them since 1975.)The 'Not Fade Away' opener was killer and all the way through just a great show. Chawlie got a huge ovation, and even took a second bow after some encouragement from Ronnie. It was a beautiful summer night with the boys.
