Quotefrankotero I would say get it. Not sure what the thing you saw was on Discogs. Happy rocking! Here's the Discogs listing with the thin paper inner sleeve: The copy I saw at the store was identical. My copy has a shiny cardboard inner sleeve and a record company barcode sticker over the regular barcode printed on the backcover.

Quotefrankotero Shiny and nearly as thick as the outer sleeve. Wonder if there were different pressings? Thinking of this, did you know the live Winos LP is numbered? Keith did some cool vinyl stuff. Then it's the same as my copy. The copy I saw at the 2nd hand store yesterday had a thin paper inner sleeve, the text and graphics were the same, though. No sticker on the back. I'll try

Quotefrankotero Just looked at my copy and it's the same. Also looked at the matrix in the dead wax and found out there is a "2" lightly machine stamped after the 1- which is on both sides. Guess I have a second pressing? If so, I'm surprised there would be in those days. Anyhow, nice LP to have. Cheers. The same as Discogs or the same as my copy? The "2" is als

You do not come across vinyl editions of Keith's "Main Offender" all that often, but yesterday I saw a copy at a local 2nd hand record store that differs from my copy. I checked Discogs and the copy I saw in the store was identical to the LP as described on Discogs: European pressing, barcode printed on back cover, printed inner sleeve on thin matte paper. My copy is also a Europea

Heylin's Dylan books "Stolen Moments" (1988) and "Behind The Shades" (1st edition, 1991) were important books at the time, simply because Heylin had access to information that was hard to come by back then. In his later books (e.g. "Behind The Shades – Take Two", 2000) Heylin is far to full of himself, constantly second-guessing Dylan's artistic decisions,

QuotePhil Good Alas, I live in Germany and that means that I can't hear it as well as we can't hear or see here so many other vids. It's all blocked here by GEMA. It's a real shame. Well, I don't want to say more about these people. Try for videos blocked in Germany.

Great setlist in Oslo. Thankfully the trend with setlists of mainly recent songs continues. Bob Dylan Oslo (Konserthus) October 1, 2015 1. Things Have Changed (rel. in 2000) 2. QuoteOldSoul Live From the Max was a movie; of course it was 16:9. I don't know the history of this video, but it sounds like it was a televised concert, so 16:9 is outta the question. Exactly. Japanese television in 1990 was in 4:3. I guess Tokyo 1990 was filmed on Betacam SP (analogue video), which was the industry standard for TV back then. I hope they preserve the entire frame and k

The Killer's last album "Rock & Roll Time" from 2014 is his best since "Young Blood" (1995) and one of his best ever. Great production (Jim Keltner), great choice of songs. No guest singers (only one duet with Shelby Lynn), so it's much better than "Last Man Standing" and "Mean Old Man", which were overcrowded with guest singers. Jerry Lee eve

Tokyo 1990 has been slated for release for a long time, so I can't understand all the moaning when we all knew it was coming anyway. Be patient, and there will be lots of material available over the next years. Planned releas

Quotejpasc95 I will probably buy it. I like the version of Gimme shelter, Keith is great on this one ! I just hope it will be in 16:9 format. I was a bit disappointed that the DVD-blu ray of the Hampton show was not in that format. so, let's pray all together ! Hampton was originally filmed in 4:3. If they had converted it to 16:9 they would have had to crop/cut off the top and bottom o

Quotestones2000 I was hoping some (or all) of you could chime in with your opinion on this subject- basically, I'm wondering what "Complete Loyalty to the Stones" means to you? Does it mean never listening to another artist, or is it ok as long as the Stones are always your favourite? I've been struggling with this recently. The Stones will always be my absolute favorite, but

From "Isis" (the Dylan magazine). "I’ve heard from several sources that the next “Bootleg Series” release will be a little different from the norm and that you may need to start saving for it now. Quoterootsman QuoteMrEcho Yes, they let the 1963 and 1964 stuff fall out of copyright Not totally, as they included the 1963 IBC demos and the 1964 Live at Camden Theatre tracks in the super deluxe GRRR. Yes, maybe those are the only unreleased 1963 and 1964 recordings they feel are worthy of copyright protection. See "Charlie Is My Darling" for 1965. Could be, because both "

Yes, they let the 1963 and 1964 stuff fall out of copyright, but will they let the same happen for 1965? I mean, 1965 is the year where things get really interesting. Then again, maybe they feel that with "Charlie Is My Darling" they have taken care of the unreleased 1965 material they consider worthy of release.

QuoteHMS Wouldn´t change anything. Dirty Work is a great Stones-album, it is hard rocking, it is tight and Mick is on top of his game. Plenty of excellent guitars on it. One Hit is marvelous, Keith shines on Sleep Tonight, Had It With You and Dirty Work are very pleasing Stones-rockers. Harlem Shuffle is one of the greatest cover-versions they ever did. Winning Ugly is hot and sleazy, a pure deli

QuoteRobertJohnson In German there is written, too, that the album gets ready in time before the Stones go in studio to record their new album. The whole German article was just cobbled together from bits and pieces taken from the Billboard, Rolling Stone and Ultimate Classic Rock websites. It does not include any original reporting/research, so I guess they simply over-interpreted the line

Man, they have to release the audio of the whole gig on the CD, but I'm not too optimistic. The whole gig (with complete intro/outro and all the onstage talk by Mick Jagger) does not fit on one CD and the listings for the new vault release only mention DVD/BR plus one CD. So I guess the CD will just be the actual soundtrack of the film, but I still hope they've edited out some of the pa

I never understood the hate for "Dirty Work". I've always loved the album. I think it's perfect as it is. Compared to other production atrocities from the 1980s it does not sound "'80s" at all. I love the hard-rocking sound. It is what it says on the cover, "Dirty Work". I think that many of the haters maybe are fans of the Mick Taylor period and "
